I did'nt support the war, but neither did I support those burning flags, spitting or calling troops "baby killers". But you can't deny those attrocities did happen by american hands, albeit in very rare instances. Those soldiers were not honorable and delt with by the UCMJ.

The reason I say paranoid is there is very high support for the troops today versus 1967. The majority of liberals (excluding the far left wackos, of which there are few) support the troops and want them to safely and succesfully complete their mission while at the very same moment disagree with the mission. Going after Saddam was the wrong move but the troops did'nt get to choose. Troops do the job they are asked to do. They do not get to pick their orders, only follow them. That's what makes them honorable.

If you don't like message, you don't shoot the messenger. You go for the author. That's why we are supporting Kerry. God as my witness, I'd rather have Kerry with his battle experiences than Bush with his training sorties as CIC. Kerry has been in the **** and seen men die up close. I feel he will be less of a loose cannon than GWB.

my lai was isolated incident and was stopped by and reported by other us forces. if it was more common you can bet there would have been pictures taken by enemy for propoganda. truth is vc/nlf massacred more civilians in vn than us did by large margin. bush is not a loose cannon and president is advised by joint chiefs and other in military on all military action. if military think action not a good idea or time or plan not right they will say it and if cic blatantly ignored such advice you can bet that it would leak into press eventually. i am not critical of kerry military service in country but must say that four months in combat zone is not guranteed to make "hardened combat veteran". equating kerry as combat experienced like Marine rifleman with two tours in vn is not accurate.

demaw1 plenty of very combat experienced guys in their twenties. many of them two tours in afghanistan and two going on three in iraq.

The thread I started was honest....and since I did experance what happen during Vietnam era I thought it was starting up again.

You and others sat behind a screen and blasted me with words and tough sarcasm. Since I was serious and wanted a honest answer I didnt even include liberals.Tell me of the first 4 replys from liberals which was serious and honest and on subject. Of course except for RPM you all ended up with egg on your face.

After I looked at cap.virgils link I was vindicated...my gut feeling was right. I have since found more evidence. In my first post I ignored your name calling. After seeing the link, my dislike for almost everything liberals stand for came to the fore front . Thus my second post. When I found out I was wrong about rpm I said so and took it back....How does me saying you dont have the guts to answer a question, make me a cyber tough guy, when you dont answer the questions?
