Just be careful.  After sifting through info on here, I found out that a 9600XT was the most advanced vid card I could upgrade to (I forget the technical reasons why...think it had to do with mobo & chipset).  Anyway, you may not have done as bad as you think.

I'm afraid I'm done with component upgrading on this pc...P4 1.3 ghz cpu with 256k RDR RAM just won't cut it.  For me to add additional RAM is another $300 for the RDR crap Dell said was so hot.  At that point, I might as well invest in a screamer.

Don't buy memory from dell, they charge too much.  Buy exactly the same (Dell uses  their memory) or better ram from crucial.com  they even   step you through what chip you machine needs - just fill in the blanks and save a good bit of cash.

Dell doesn't make too much of thier own stuff, almost all of it is re-labled.  (And is generally pretty good and reliable parts though never "bleeding edge" stuff)

Also poster above is right,  there is more than one sort of AGP connector out - make sure your card will physically fit in your mobo AGP slot (or be pretty disappointed)!
