Troubled...

All:

I've deliberated on the wisdom of doing this but felt that it was the right thing to do in hopes that somehow this might prevent others experiencing similar experiences.

I was on Fri night with a skatsr, my squad mate and I happened to shoot down a Typhoon.  I was a little shocked to be treated to the following insult on private text:

I know that it has happened to others before and I'm sure there are some who believe that this is either acceptable or should be expected.  I guess being the simpleton that I am I just can't find myself to agree with such logic and want to express my view that I have a hard time believing that "the golden rule" and treating each other with civility, respect, and empathy is the exception vs. the norm.

I sincerely hope my views are the norm vs. the excpetion in the AH community.

Peace

68Doctor is known to go off the deep end, even against his own country mates.  Best to just send in the screen shot and let HTC deal with it.

HMMMMMM maybe you caught 68Doctor on a bad day?    No excuse tho for the name calling.   I did that yesterday but quickly aplogized for my immature name calling.

My squad seems to be a magnet for the 68th. We hammer them and they hammer us.   BAck and forth wether on defense or offense.   Never had any name calling tho with the 68th.    Sure hope you two can work it out before any drastic happens but you weren't in the wrong.

That is the trouble with sims – dead just isn't dead.  In real life, the whining stops the moment their plane explodes.  And if it is your plane that's doing the exploding, you don't have to listen to their belittling.  Whether you succeed or fail in this sim, you will always live to fight again so there is no reason for that type of behavior.

And as far as the "moron rook" comment goes, is there any other kind? ;) Talk about stating the obvious.    Nearly every time I'm on, one of those "morons" will shot me down using a move no one in their right mind would try.  Sims – live and learn.

This type of behavior should be frowned upon by all,  bad day, wrong time, doesn't matter.  if it is even your own squad mate doing crap like this your other squad members should tell him to knock it off, chill, log and take a breathe.

I am no angel nd during the heat of battle I'll slip and say a cuss word over vox, and then I immediately apologize once I catch myself.

I have also noticed the filter being off in some of the arenas, don't recal which ones, but have sen some fouled up language typed out.

The best thing to come out of this is for the person in question to come in here and apologized publicly, and let it be done/ settled....

In 68Doctor's defense, he played 337 hours last camp and has already played 57 hours the first week of this camp. AH is much more than a game to him, it's a 'way of life'. Whatever it was you did to him undoubtedly had a deep and profound impact on his fragile psyche. It's a proven fact that lack of sunshine causes acute Vitamin D deficiency and after prolonged periods can actually precipitate various psychoses. These psychoses include, manic depression, schizophrenia, and bi-polar disorder.

So, don't be too hard on him, he has personal 'health' issues.

Urchin - the funny thing is I was just about to give him a .  I caught him heavy on his way to A2 but ended up in a tight turns above the trees with my flaps popped to stay with him.  He did a great job of trying to shake me.

I don't have anything against him and not even asking for an apology.  I mulled over exactly what I should post and wonder even now if I should have marked out names or even posted what was typed.  In the end I felt that leaving things raw was the appropriate thing to do.

TC said it best.  It doesn't matter what state we're in.  We're all responsible for the type of community we foster in Aces High and hope this helps myself as well as others to think twice and maybe prevent others experiencing similar incidents.

I'm just trying to think of a word that starts with F and has that many blanks behind it...

Of course anyone who knows me knows that I would have challenged him to answer that in the arena... because I am evil.
