Joy Stick quits working after being shot down

Anyone else seeing this? Im running  a MS force feedback 2 joystick USB  and  at random my joystick will become completely inoperable  this always happens after being shot down and plumeting to the ground. MY CH Pro USB rudder peddals keep working fine .  If i go into windows and check the stick  its dead there too. This always takes a restart to get it back to working.

I haven't had that, but I have noticed since the last update that occasionally my stick (Saitek Cyborg Evo) will lose calibration. Haven't figured out what triggers this yet but it's happened about 4 times since the last update and never before it.
