Listen to the man.........Heater !

Thank you "Heater" for introducing me to this GREAT SIM !
Heater talked me in about a month ago when he joined the 186th, I downloaded Ver 38 and got to play offline, but the game CTD'd me after 5", so....I dumped it !

WRONG IDEA......

Got the new beta (4.0) on a Magazine (PCZone in UK) and installed it again, and OH SURPRISE, I found out that you could fly "the Buff"...tried it , and discovered the Gunner stations, I was awed...

Tried a couple of things, but barely managed to Take off, but since I'm kinda pig headed....I stepped on and Downloaded ver 4.6 since it was needed for Online flight...
Created my 1st user, got the Email with my password within 3 minutes, and missunderstood the question and gave myself a "Code"...that was "45638736" or something like that, LOL !

Desperately trying to get in an outside view while Taking off (with the Spit, since I read that it was a beginner's plane) I didn't notice that I was on the belly and I was showting "HELP, HELP, my plane won't mooove!!!!". I Could see HEater in there, but how could he recognise me with a "name" like that ??? I then decided to get another Id and went for "Saintaw" since I saw that there was already a "Saint" up there......

Came back in and tried the F4U........LOL, after 5 spinning Crashes while taking off, I quickly decided to come back to the "Spit", and still could only Take off, thx to the fact that the Runnway is sitting at the end of a Hill....

Typing exctaticaly on the Radio, I tried to get some guys attention, but since it was written "BLUE" on my nose, i wasn't verry successful

Followed a couple of guys (Didn't know whre I was going since I didn't know the Radar function) and, got shot as soon as we met some Red planes....mhhhh, i said to myself, this is NOT 1942....

Stepped in a "B17" this time, and took off (again, thx to the hill....), there was a B26 that passed right in front of my nose, and i decided to follow it (PharaoX was in there...) I forgot to pull  the flaps out and was loosing speed fast....TRRRR, TRRRR, TRRRR.....you know the sound after a while, so, I quickly put the flaps back up and beginned my ascent....Tried the different Gunner positions as well as the nordern sight (looks cool, in this version)...while I was plaing Mr Ar***e, i lost PharaoX and was on my own again (Sigh!!!)....

Radio calls of poeple wanting to be in a gunner position were falling of the skies, and again, I was screaming : ME ME ME ME !!!, To no avail  ......(Didn't know HOW to get them in here anyway....)

I saw a Grey patch on the ground, with Dots flying over it, and since I was in Indian territory, I said to myself : LET'S GO FOR IT !!! (By now, I had discovered the Radar key....)......SIGH

Came close to the City, and saw 2 P51's comming straight for me , jumped in the wrong Gunner position a couple of times before getting the right one, I waited untill the guy came in cloe, but he shot my right wing away at 1.2K yards !!! Dammit, Using my boots to come back home again.....

Got back in a B17, jumped out the hill  .........and took off to the West, where I now knew there was a City.....About 15 yellow planes were all around me, I felt safe....

Closing in on the City, I got to the Nordern sight, and went for the Bomb run.....Dropped 6X 1000LB bombs on a HQ, and I was hearing Ping ping Ping........MAN IS THAT ACK ACK SENSIBLE !!!!!! I am still sure the buggers had some sort of laser sight to target me, LOL : Well, Dead again

I told you that I was pig headed, so I tried again, and again, and again.......same resultt : Dead, or Walking.....

Last flight , I went back to the good 'ol Spit, and FINALY SUCCEEDED IN TAKING OFF BEFORE THE HILL, YAHOOOOOOOO !!!!

Followed a couple of Fighters, and Saw a P51....Chased him, chased him a loooooong time, But that guy knew where he was going !!! Brought me right above one of his Runways, and the ACK ACK got me again......hehehehe, Smart

This Sim looks realy Hard to fly with (Heck, 4 hours before I cold take off !!!, But, it's worth it !!!!) I love it and will earn how to fly those silly things

I might be a "Target" for a couple of weeks, but, I will learn quickly......I hope.

Gentlemen, you now earned 25 £ / month.......

LOL.. sounds like yer having fun...

Yah might wanna take a look at the website; check Indians page and do a bit of reading. Printing the .dot commands and carefully examining the key mapping will be enlighting too.

Finally; theres an excellent section right here on the BBS.. have a look at the topics in the Help and Training section.

Salute and Godspeed!

Hang; out.

Saint;

LOL    Too funny!  My gut hurts.

I did the "Hanglider Off the CLiff" trick myself very often when I started.  If I wanted to get airborne, I aimed for the cliff.

Next, I figured out how to make the plane stop turning left all the time.  Ah Trim!

At first the scenery was awesome to me and very hypnotising.  So, I just flew around awhile checking things out.  SHOOT!  I'm out of gas, Darnit.  Details... Details...

Since I had trim and take-offs down,  I was at least airborne anyway.  I figured that was all the advantage I needed.  Time for me to attack.  (Hehe)

Now I am on the hunt for sure, but I am slowly getting bored.  This place is totally deserted.  This is so lame.  Wait, AHAaah!!!!!

Is that another plane, "Oh Yesss, at Last!".

"Very Good so Far, They Won't Suspect a Thing Until They Hear the Rattle of My Guns".

"I'm not scared, Here we go Buddy Boy!",

The green letters above the plane looked really cool, but I was undaunted.  The chant "ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK" was ringing in my ears.

I close and begin firing.  Not only does my gunnery suck, but how could I possible miss.  I practically flew right through that damn plane!

Well, the plane just calmly flies off.  COME BACK WIMP, DIDN'T YOU JUST SEE THAT?

Shortly there after I think to myself, "I sure hope my aim improves that was too easy".  I fly off hoping that everyone who plays this game is not a WEINER like that last one.

It did not take me too long after that.  Duh!

I got shot down about 50,000 times in the next month.  Often I read "XXXXXX shot down Minotaur".  Then I read "XXXXXX: ALRIGHT! I just got my first kill".  I typed "WTG XXXXXX, congrats!".  I thought to myself "Just lucky a shot, PooPoo on You".

Hopefull, I am finally getting the hang of it.

Good Luck to You, I hope to shoot you down!

Hehehe, Thanks guys   I hate this game already : it's One in the morning and i have to get up at six to get these pennies flowing

Came back on, this time, i got a little help, Started off another runway (Do not ask why, I don't know   ...)

managed to To with that P51 WITHOUT the hill (Hehehe, gettin the hang of this   ) and disconnected before i got where I wanted to...

Oh, almost forgot, tried the "Dora F" 'cause i am a jerrie plane fan, and I saw LOTS of red planes, so I dived...........LOL !!! Couldn't pull out and splattered myself in the hills !

I've now got the Dot commands , the maps, and the keys printed out (this room loos like aWW2 HQ with all the papers sticked all ove the walls... )

Screamed again, cause I wanted to be a gunner, but I gues I will have to make some friends before someone accepts my gunnery skills, hehehe....soon, my boy, soon...

Tried the F4U, and Boum again (mhhh, Do I have to invest in a Rudder???) I will definately try the Trim thingie, if you say it worked for you, It will work for me as well (I hope   )

Ok, off to bed now, see you tomorrow guys...Mt wife hates you all already

PS : I love those smileys !!!
