This part was good, and i can agree with this completly. But i havnt seen anyone here critizicing US troops.

I agree that you don't have to serve in the military to serve your country effectively. Indeed you can argue that you might better serve your country in many other ways than being in the military.

But it is always a bit rich to read someone constantly expounding a hawkish and militaristic viewpoint when apparently they are not prepared to take part when their country is involved in a war. Not even part time. Chickenhawk, I think is the insulting term appropriate here.

That's the problem here. Gruny can talk a good war but that's all.

And whats the term for a politician who votes to send US troops to a war but votes against the weapons and funding they need to complete their mission...

Oh yea that would be John Kerry, I belive thats the insulting term appropriate here... Thats your great war hero senatore and presidential candidate right there...

Plus its a very convenient argument you guys put forawrd. Basically you are saying that one cannot be supportive of an agressive defense of America at this dangerous time unless you join the military yourself. How many people are in the military? Maybe some 1.5 million? Thats what 2% of the USA population? How very conveinient for you guys... So the veast majority of the country then must oppose our defense! Fantastic!!!

No one is saying that except you. It's just slightly odd that someone with your interest in and knowledge of military matters and obvious patriotism not to mention strenous views on the defence of the United States has no apparent or stated interest in putting that to the test. That's your right of course but odd nonetheless.

As for the military I considred joining at one point, the purpose, sacrifice, teamwork and discipline applealed to me at a time when I needed such elements in my life. But I made the decison to go back to school because it was the best way I felt I could get my life back on track after making some bad decisions as a teenager. My father had gone far in this world by being the first in his family to go to college and I wanted to follow his example. It was the right decision. If you want to criticize or make fun of me for it to make u feel better, then go ahead - it just proves that ur an ass.

Nonsense, nobody is going to tell me that I dont have the right to criticize politicans or examine the deeds of soldiers in a war. It's gonna be a sad day when "veterans" try take that right away from the gewneral population...

The only people who have anything to admit, and really admit to themselves are you guys on the left who have basically become facsist in your views on political discourse just to defend a man like Kerry with only an obviously controversial military record to cover up his 20 years on insignificance in the Senate.
