Hey HiTech, a few months ago there was a post with pic of you in the arena trying a plane without skin, or finished "model" it looked like a PT boat flying around IIRC.

was it the KI84 what you were trying out that day???

just curious.

I don't think so. It didn't act like an airplane the time he flew it up to my M8.

He was in the F5 'god mode' view from the tower I think. Try it offline, your movement sure doesn't resemble something that flies

Hitech has already said he flies/ tests planes that have no skin and they look like the pt boats.

If it was an aircraft it would have had to have been a Fiesler Storch. That or a UFO.

That said, I could be mistaken as I only saw it for a few seconds. I was in the pintle gun looking around and I check my 7 o'clock and there is this PT Boat hovering there, bow down a bit, pointed at me. I grabbed the pintle .50 cal, swung it around and gave the deviant PT Boat a long burst whereupon it exploded.

I was right next to his PT boat, same side, infact he saved my arse, the reversal he made looked more like somthing a P-38f would do, but what do I know...

In AH1 he'd use the P51D. I think I remember some players getting blasted by 4x30mm before the 262 debuted

The PT boat he used in beta was for fun I believe... no way in hell that was a flight model

In my test versions I have the ability to use god's eye hooked to any plane or vehicle. It used for lots of things like moving a vehicle quickly to where you want to shoot. Holding a plane off the runway and droping it to test landing gear. To moving threw objects and see what the collision system does.

With the PT boat I was just messing around on line with Gods eye mode.

When we test new planes in the arena it will just be substitude for a different plane shape. And is anounced that we are doing that.

I haven't d/l or played AH2, but from the screen shots it appears the instruments are easier to read. Is that true?
