I finally got a chance to spend a couple hours on line this afternoon and although I really sucked, it was a blast.

Afterwards I started thinking about AH's features and in particular the sounds. One of the things that stood out for me, were the gun sounds that I was used to in the "other" sim.
The default sounds in WB's are pretty good, but with a customized mix of sounds I picked up from the various WB sound sights they were awesome and really enhanced my enjoyment of WB's.
So I did a little playing around tonight. First I dl'd AK Wabbits sounds and installed them. Then I started swapping out sounds from my customized WB sounds. Just move the original sounds to an empty folder (to save them just in case) and pop the new files in the corresponding folder. Rename the new sound files to the same name as the originals and your all set.
By the time I was done installing mine and testing them, about 2 hours had gone by. But one thing is for sure...AH now sounds really good!
So start swapping out those wave files until you have a combo you really like. File size doesn't matter too much unless you put a "long" sound in place where a "short" sound should go. (To see what I mean, try taking a large engine sound file and renaming it to that of a gear retraction sound...you'll laugh.) You just have to test them and fiddle around until you get what you like.
have fun!
