Fellow AH pilots,

To follow the trend put in place by the Eve Online post (which i played for 2 years - BETA + commercial - then quit), do some of you have bought and play City of Heroes?
Just bought the key online, downloaded the client but didn't start an avatar yet.

Would be fun if we start a super hero group!?
I'll be happy also to have some feedback of experiences players...

TECHNOLOGY - ASSAULT RIFLE/DEVICES (Karsus) - 20th level
MUTANT - ICE BLAST/ICE MANIPULATION (Narsus) - 15th level
SCIENCE - GRAVITY CONTROL/KINETICS (Karras) - 8th level
MAGIC - ICE CONTROL/STORM SUMMONING (Frozen Waste) - 2nd level
NATURAL - SPINES/REGENERATION (Toxic Decay) - 8th level
SCIENCE - RADIATION EMISSION/RADIATION BLAST (Galvatron) - 3rd level

My character names are in the parathesis, all are on the liberty server....mosgood plays also on liberty.

If you have any questions lemme know.

and what can i say i like making characters ;)

I'm on Liberty as well.

Names are:

Ice-Age         - Mutant/Blaster lvl 10
Def-Con One - Natural/Blaster lvl 14

Go to the message boards on the game site and read the guides.  There is some good info on lvl'ing and how to get the best out of enhancements.  Enhancements are the key.  The guides will help you not waste your slots on stuff you dont need.

Example, you may think you need accuracy in a slot.... well, I picked "devices" as a second power and it comes with a power that has a targeting drone.  This drone helps my accuracy a bunch and I dont have to waste more slots on accuracy than I really need to.  This is the kind of stuff that the guides will help with.


When Lvl'ing, get 1 or 2 others your lvl and kill a bunch of greens and blues.  Don't go hunting higher than White.  This is because it takes less time to kill 5 greens than 1-2 whites - purples and you get more xp in the long run.

After lvl 5, if you get in trouble... RUN.  Dying sucks with the debt system.  It takes a long time to make up the xp that dying loses.

Don't fight with your "sprint" on.  It kills your Endurance. (Important)

Try not to delete enhancements.  Most people sell as many as they can for "influence".  "Influence" is the money system in the game.

When possible, use the Yellow Line train system.  It's good transportation until you get a traveling power.



I'm up for getting a "Team" together.  I have a few people that I play with online that will probably join as well.

o ya.... when sending a tell it's    /tell name,   DONT FORGET THE COMMA.  Took me FOREVER to learn this!

Oooo 14th level mos excellent smithers excellent :)

I really need to stick to one character ;)

problem is i have many friend who play all at different levels *sigh*

heh I fight yellows through reds usually....a bit more challenging.

my friend and i go to boomtown and drop 17-19 level all reds oranges etc.  with build up and aim and fire/frost breath and fire ball we drop those 12 person mobs in about 10 seconds. Gotta love AOE.

and mos get smoke grenade as soon as you can.

Ya  i spent about 2 hours in boomtown last night.  We had a spiked scrapper with us that really kicked some booty.

I couldnt stop playing until i got flight.  I was obsessed with seeing how it was.


Hey... do you know if "hover" kills your accuracy?  I havent used it to fight yet. I know it helps your defense though.  "Smoke Grenade" huh?  It wasnt one that caught my eye but I'll check it out.

Ice-Age has Frost Breath.  That's a cool power.  Pretty devestating!

hover increase your defense and doesnt affect your accuracy.

flight i am pretty sure hurts your accuracy, so i fly to area set postioin up and then turn on hover for firing.

also using smoke grenade you literally get hit at least 50% less.

Boooooring....

I've hade an account just over a month...  will likely cancel it before the end of this month.

Just a bunch of hairdressers trying on costumes for the most part...

Started last night playing in Freedom (all my friends are down there) :
Distro - Mutant / Blaster - Lvl 5 (screenshots soon)

Have some good fun for the first hours, which is usually good for a tutorial...
