The idea of the Liberator from my plea was its Range.
Actually the B17 had much more range that HTC has currently modeled.
BTW..i dont want to get into anther bomber debate.
This is my last reply to this thread.

Mugzee,

The B-17 in AH can take off all the way on one side of a small map, bomb something all the way on the other side, and fly back to the base it took off of with the fuel multiplier set to 2.

i really hope Superfly is not working on another allied bomber to jam the planeset with something that is needed a LONG way down the road compared to filling the axis side IMHO.

we have suffered through years of no new planes

now is not the time to be modelling obscure crap planes because some crackpot thinks it will be really great in some scenario where it gets used twice like the ju87. COME ON!!

we need heavy duty kick bellybutton take names guns blazing egg dropping fire breathing 4 engines monsters.

seriously.

b24
pb4y
b29

the ones that can go in in daylight and make it back. not this creepy crawly cowardly nightcrapbomber weak defenses and weak payload.

screw that. the CT and scenarios can wait. the MA needs fresh aluminum overcast.

i dunno bout anyone else but I dont find it entertaining to take a defenseless bomber into a pack of la7s and get shot to hell without a chance of survival no matter how cool the plane is.

I do think some of the other countries should have more Buffs,
like the Betty, He111, the funny lookin Italian bomber.
All needed for Scenarios etc.

But they will be covered with cobwebs in the MA.

The B-24 was one of the most produced AC for the US in WWII,
It has to be in.

Are there any common WWII non-allied buffs that could carry more then 5k of ord? just curious.
