Have you changed rides going from AH1 to AH2?
« on: August 13, 2004, 01:10:19 PM »
Have the changes in AH2 motivated you to try other aircraft or vehicles?  Did you use to fly the Spitfire Mk IX, but have now tried the P-51D because it helps you get closer to the enemy?  Or maybe now the Spitfire Mk V because it gains angles better?

Have you noticed any changes in the way you fly?  How about the way you attack ground vehicles?

Have you used ground vehicles more often.  Different ones than before?

As most people have noticed, hitting is harder than it was before.  This is especially true of the squirrley single engined fighters.  For this reason, and because it is time for a change, I will be switching my main ride from the Mosquito to the Ki-84.  I think that the Ki-84's manuverability coupled with it's probably decent speed will make the game more enjoyable for me than it has been lately.

Hunting GVs from the air seems harder now, especially when you don't know where they are.  Spoting them can be tough.  I still use the IL-2 for anti-GV work mostly, with the Mossie as backup if I need more speed and performance.

For GVs I still think the M8 is the most fun, in a suicidal way.

I've been flying the c202. It kicks bellybutton in AH2. :)

Killin GV with IL2 is as easy as ever, unless they hide under deep tree cover.  IL2 still kicks bellybutton air to air.

LA7 doesnt have as much gas endurance as it used to have.

I'm flying the FW190A5 alot more now. I've been looking at the D9 for the speed. AH2 seems to favor speed and cannons. More so how you would think WW2 must have gotten towards the end of 43 into 44.

If the Ki84 holds to our AW memories, I'll be taking a very close look at it.:)

I still fly the F4U  types mainly no change in way I fly , just use more gas.

I find the F6F5 a much more pleasant plane to fly in AH2 than it was in AH1.

GVs are more fun, better scenery and battles for me........ even though I still can't get the ranging down fast enough

I still fly most planes I flew in AH1.

I was reading a Flying Tigers Diary by Bond, so I did  a few sorties in a P40.  Talk about a challenge in the MA lol.  Still a fun plane tho.

I used to fly the corsairs a lot but in AHII I can't hit anything in them, the nose bobs around too much. I have started flying the p47 a bit.

nope, still pretty much use the F4U as my main ride.

But fly just about all of them occasionally.
