It has caused me some problems also.

Of course I don't have enough points to take even one "Jet" but if I did it would sour my day to lose one to a collision. ;)

Glad HT found the issue.

Funny collision bug exploitation story here.

Was in a 109-f4, diving on p51d, he reversed me then I reverse him. We then go into a flat scissors on the deck. As he flies over me I look to left and see him 250 out and turning back inside me. Sooo my only resort, pull up in front of him at 200-150 out and try for the collision bug. It works!! I spiral into the water having lost my wing. Talk about karma.

Have to have collisions. There's no two ways about it. Without them it's a total dweebfest.

I do think that something is wrong here. And maybe Hitech should disable them until its fixed?

Either way I do beleive this needs to be looked into a bit more.

Because of the much warping in AH2 and bull**** with all the stick stirring and crap, you dont really see the plane.  You are most likely seeing an image of the enemy half a second ago.  You all get that delayed hit as the enemy HO's you fly's by with guns blazing, after he's past ya you still get that one ping that takes off your wing a second later dont ya?

Keeping that in mind, collisions shouldnt be on. Its just total BS to have collisions enabled the way the planes are modelled, as well as the lag issue...

Dunno but one would think it wouldnt be very healthy to be fying close toa bomb laiden B17 when it exploded.
My feeling it debri should damage ya. It could in real life.
why not here.

Had a rash of collisions last night. Flew a little more carefully tonight and had none in over 5 hours on constant play.

There is no way for the computer system to read minds and figure out who is intending to ram who, or even who is actually ramming who.

If *you* hit another plane as shown on your FE, then *your* plane will register a collision.  Same applies to the other guy.

There is no fairer way to do this, given net lag.

(Of course, this is presuming HTC fixes the "big bubble" hub).

It is also total BS to have collisions off.  Which total BS is fairer and more obstructive to dweebery?  Collisions on, with each FE determining collisions for its own plane only.

collisions have either been turned off or set back to pre-patch 8 levels, as i'm sure i had a ram or 3 (one deliberately) and neither of us took damage.
