Retire the Rook, Knight, Bishop 3 country system entirely.

Replace it with a 2 country system of 2 Monopoly pieces.....say, the Hats and the Battleships.

No more misplaced loyalties, no more chess pieces.  An added benefit, everytime you win a map, you can pass GO and collect $200 perks !  W00T!

LOL funny thing is in spite of the absolute torrent of whining. Is that it IS WORKING!

Was on primetime last night, numbers were within 2 or 3 of each other.

 Bish had 133, knights 135, rooks 136.

What more can you ask for? Everyone has their rides, everyone has an even chance to find a good fight.

I don’t know Ghost.
I think its too early to tell. I think we are seeing many players log off in disappointment. Constantly re-checking the roster is proving that very few are switching sides. But i see the Numbers swing on large scale within a few minutes of a country losing its favorite ride. 20 to 30 players are suddenly gone.
I actually suspect that this will lessen with time.
But i doubt that having 20 to 30 players log off in disgust was what HTC had in mind.
I hope it settles soon so we can get a realistic read on if this system is actually going to acheive the desired effect. (Sides Evening Out).
I think history has proven that the sides will never be completly even. And im not so sure it would have to be that way.
Others have discused in the threads different ideas that would certianly ..(Yes i said certianly) work better.

Old joke here

Add a forth country and call it the "queens" then all the whiners and cryers and those that prefer the herd can gather. Also only change their color to pink. The only plane they need enabled is the p50run / p50auger. D model of course.

Hey... I know a way to fix it, create a two sided war with a limited plane set, they could call it combat theater, and everyone that wanted this setup could fly there.
But that sounds to easy.

combat theater......i would fly there all of the time i flew if there were more people who flew in there. i'm sick of people countering the whines with combat theater. most of the time you look at the numbers and its less than 5 people in there. in case no one figured it out yet, 5 people isnt a very good time. so people put up with the watermelon and fly MA. i would rather fly CT but i'm not gonna sail around for half an hour looking for a fight and still not finding one.

Ok, your right, force the will of the few on the many.  I don't mean to sound hostile, but IMHO HT gave in to the few squeaky wheels and fugged the game up for many.

Don't fix it if it isn't broke.

As for the plane set thing, it's not a problem for me.  I like the 109f4 and 109g2.  The 190f8 and the 190a5 are great also.  So limiting the plane set isn't going to take away from my flying enjoyment.  It just makes kills easier for me by forcing my opponent to fly something he is not familiar with.

Exactly what I saw last night.  33 Bishes logged off within 30 minutes of the new system going into effect.  (I was one of them)   20 more logged off in the next 30 minutes.

I kept checking back during the evening and once the players were balanced, I was already so disgusted I just stayed logged off so as not to ruin the game for the rest of the players.

I just thought of something...

If the numbers were like 100 100 100,and a reset is close, but stalled, couldn't the country forcing the reset send about 10 or 20 people to the country about to be reset...thus forcing them to fly the limited planeset, and allowing the reseting country to have the advantage.
They don't have to up right?...It's just a numbers thing.  Any "fix" could be easily exploited, that is why HT needs to analyze all possible effects, desired and undesired.

You might see a little less chest pounding on a 2 country map is you use one of these combinations in place of the chess pieces:

Daisy/Tulip  -  Ferrets/Gerbles - Rabbits/Hamsters
