I appreciate all your ideas and opinions...
I know that with a flatrate it's marketing wise not a good thing to deny certain people their right to fly the plane they love so dearly.
I know that eventualy there will be a HA where people like me can get our pleasure flying the dewoitine 520, hurri, ki43, zero, etc.
Of course I know that it's more a matter of flying marksmanship then the plane's abilities. Jantie (a friend from brand w) flew hurri2's till the F6F kicked off and then flew it till the end of RPS and doing rather nicely with it... He got his butt kicked alot but he sure surprised alot of spitdweebs and even the occational FW butcher

BUT... what if the HA doesn't work out like it should (take the HA and Scenario lights in WB for example)...
I could fly a .... ( insert your choise pick early warbird here) in the open arena. Let's see what would happen to even the best experten around... you wouldn't be able to catch anybody... even the B26 can outspeed you and wave at you saying bye bye... only a complete dork would die at your hands in his Dora9, spitXIV, 109K4, pony or p38J since they are all energy fighters.... you wouldn't be able to get alt... since most early warplanes have a ceiling to laugh at... etc... etc... etc... sigh
Another aspect is the newbie-factor. As most dweebs I started out TnBing till I'd drop, sooner then later

, but I started early in the RPS and it didn't harm me that much as say starting in the 44-45 season of the RPS. As I see it most newbies would come in take a spit and rush in at every plane they can turn&burning while most planes flown would be energyfighters... talk about a rapid drop in motivation to come and play

I know I'm in a no win situation here... so I'll rest my case and continue to fly my, also beloved, f4 or pony...

Just my honest opinion guys ...
Greetings
