Panzer shoots through Hills/Trees

I'm not one to gripe much but yesterday I spent most of the day on Furball island in a panzer and noticed one panzer who until I said I was going to film this bs remained indestructible.
(you know who you are)...This panzer could shoot through the hill and through the trees. Not only that it could take 4 direct turret hits from a Tiger and numerous hits from panzers only to shoot one shot and take out turrets or kill our tanks.
All others I encountered had legit kills, and there were a bunch of good tank drivers/shooters on yesterday, probably the most fun I'd had in a gv for awhile. I also heard the same rumblings coming from other friendlys so I know this was not an isolated incident. The issue I have is that I watched the rounds coming through the hills and trees and yet if I tried to return fire down the same path, I blew up dirt, or the shell exploded when it hit the tree's...remember tracers work both ways and we were facing each other. A squadie and I lost 9 or 10 tanks to this tank and funny, as soon as I lost my turret from a round right through the foliage, I said I was going to film this on open ch, and he replied (there was a small hole through the foliage) I used my pintle gun to ping him and poof he was dead. (guess he really didn't want me to film my squaddie hammering him with 5-6 rounds with no effect. I would estimate this panzer was hit 20-30 times with 4-6 tiger hits....(he 1 shot blew up the tiger).

couldn't have anything to do with simply being more experienced ... i guess your egos couldn't suffer that.  

instead of being petty you might try to wing up with more experienced players who whip your arse and you might learn something.  

as for the tiger kills, tigers are not indestructible, and rushing in on a panzer waiting for it at point blank range is simply asking for it.  

the things inexperienced players say is really astounding sometimes.

Half of it is the usual my FE your FE. He appears to be shooting through trees on your FE but in fact is shooting to its side on his FE.
This has always frustrated me, if I cant see you because of an object, then usually you cant see me either.

Thanks Kev....but with more than one person witnessing this it is apparent something is amiss with the GV's in knight land.
I logged again last night when an M-16 blew up my panzer with less than  200 round's of BB's.....it's bs thats what it is.

koda76: Life would have been a lot simpler if you had filmed the fight and sent it to us.

1. If its a bug we could have found it.
2. If there was somthing else we could have delt with it.
3. If all was well we could have explained it to you. And you could have learned a new tactic.
4. If you had emailed it to us. You would not have goten flamed.


Accusing some one of cheating is not in good form. Next time film/screen shot and send it to us. Comming hear and complaining about somthing you think happened with out any documentation will do no good at all.

I have the film.....and I did not say it was a cheat....I said it was BS....tell you what, if it keeps it up i'll let you know. It seems not to be specific at an individual level, but at the country level.
Seems to me you need to take a refresher course on your Customer Service Skills, telling a customer what you did is exactly what you accused me of is a real example of poor form. I just had a gripe.

I think I had a problem with the same person in a Flak panzer.  I could be wrong, but the same guy ripped off the wing of my IL2 with the pintle gun.  And no, I had previously killed the main gun and nothing else had touched me at all.



Err, Edit:  With one ping I mean.  My wing came off from one 8mm bullet.

Well it seems that when you film from a gv all you get is a view from the drivers seat....doesn't show anything. Not even the tracer comming through the foliage. There is some comments over vox but without the ability to have an external view all you can see is the hill and foliage.
So what I had in mind was the next time this happens I will jump in a plane and film it that way while some of my squadies get wacked. Like I said it was only 1 panzer that day, yet last night a m-16 blew up my panzer with less than 10 seconds of fire. same issue....I was in the turrent view but the film shows the drivers view. kinda hard to show what actually went on.

Look, I know it would be better if we had a film, but I don't.   I just don't seem to have that ability to know I should film something that is about to happen before it happens.

Regardless, I was there in my own tank when the first issue happened.  I saw it.  I am a thousand miles from Koda and use a different ISP so I don't think the FE arguement completely hold water, but I could be wrong.  I have seen stranger things occur in this game.

I took a Tiger after that panzer and hit him dead on 4 times.  Nothing happened to the guy.  No smoke, no track, no nothing other than impact flashes.

In addition I hit him several times from a panzer...lost a few panzers to him.  Twice I was hit through the hill before I see the guy of he could have seen me.

I was also, during the same night, hit through the trees.  The explination for such events (given to koda for the other unnammed Panzer driver) was a small gap at the base of the tree.  Well, that gap might allow you to track a tank, but should not allow for a kill.

I was also there to see the M-16 kill Koda's panzer last night.  I had made three passes on that M-16 in my Typhoon hitting him with dozens of 20 mm rnds on each pass.  Right after he got Koda's tank, I finished my fourth pass and he blew up.  For the record, at that point I had already killed more than 15 other M-16s and there wasn't a one of them I had to make more than one pass in my Typhoon on.  Interesting to me that this one was so resilient.

Look, it is this way:  maybe someone was cheating or maybe it is just a bug.  I should have gotten a good film, but I didn't  Regardless, it is a problem that Koda was trying to inform people of and to blow of some steam over it.  I can verify that "what he thought happened" did indeed happen.  Up to you folks at HTC if you want to do something about it or not.

For the record: RT, unless you have a guilty concious, nothing in here was addressed to you.  You don't know Koda and so are in no position to talk smack.  As was pointed out, Koda didn't mention a name.  If it was a cheater, I would think you would want them dealt with.  If it is a bug, then I would think you would want it fixed.  Regardless, you would do well to know what and who you are talking about before you put fingers to keyboard.

BTW..it is squad knight for us and I had already deleted them, ran disk clean-up and defrag...(I do this before I log on most every night)went to try and recover them but they were not recoverable....Double Doh

Well, for your information Cooley, IM the player who Koda accused of cheating both in the game then in this post.  (You know who you are.)

From what I can tell Koda and his buddies are simply inexperienced and do not play gvs as well as more experienced players.  

I, however, do play gvs well.  I have paid my dues.  You can check my stats for gvs over the last 3 years.

The reason Koda and his buddies got their butts shot off is that they don't know what they are doing.  And BTW, they eventually did kill my panzer after one of my rounds richocheted instead of registering.  

If they lost tigers, which they did (btw u can check and see how many tigers I have killed in panzers this month too), it was because they put them in harms way at angles and ranges where tigers typically are destroyed.  

I shot Koda thru a clear opening under a tree or bush line.  He exploded.  He then accused me of cheating on the open channel.  I explained to him how I made the shot out of good sportsmanship.  Then he made things more ridiculous with this nonsense.  

Lastly, why should I bother to cheat. Apart from not having a clue about how to go about it, IM DAMNED GOOD AT PLAYING THIS.  

So for the record, all their claims are bs.  The game was working properly.
