HT, how about an auto-disconnect?
« on: August 17, 2004, 02:47:17 AM »
Unlike the past, since the implementation of the SBM(side-balancing mechanism) every pilot counts, and counts big.

Especially when overall MA numbers shrink down(as in Pacific prime times..), one or two pilots could make a real impact as to whether or not a country can use a certain plane.

So, how about an auto disconnect function, that boots pilots who are afk, if they are at the tower, doing nothing, not even using the radio - for like 30 minutes?

It'd help the SBM get a more accurate glimpse of each country's manpower.

now that would be a good thing , due to the fact that if you was to look at the number of people actually flying and the Number of people not flying , the numbers were not that much different from country to country when i looked at Country status .

And kicking these felas out of the game who are AFK for like you said 30 min is fair .

I dont see where it would become something to gripe about or even complain .

If you AFK for an extended amount of time , then you should disco , if not by choice then the server should do it for you , I have no problems with that at all <>

Well, I'm sure it would be just easier NOT to include anyone in the tower etc. as part of their computation for ENY penalties.  But
then again,  Booting them AND not counting tower ppl would even
be better.  AFK'ers eat up server rescources.  Who knows..some ppl that have multi accounts may purposely be loading their
added accounts to be afk in the countries their main accounts may
be wanting to attack.  Just a thought..I'm sure this has to be happening on some scale.

Just like nearly every suggestion Kweassa makes...I like it.
