Whiner of the Week Award
« on: August 17, 2004, 01:20:49 PM »
I propose a new competition, such as the 'Pasty Skin' Award.

FurTech Creations is proud to present, the 'Whiner of the Week Award'

Your nominations with relevant quotations will be greatly appreciated.  Whines will be judged on a 1 - 10 scale depending on their content and whine subject.

Disclaimer: Please note, these awards are presented purely lightheartedly and are by no means meant to 1. Offend 2. Discriminate against 3. Piss off 4. Make cry any such person or persons.

WTF am i posting this piece of drivel from the past i dont know LOL)

ps. no punting please, let it die it's lowley death like it should

In my short time flying this incredibly designed and extremely fun game I have come to a few realizations. There are only 5 real squads in Aces High. They are as follows:

Squad 1 "The HO N1K and LA7 Bastages"
Their squad mission statement reads: Do whatever you can to get as many kills as possible with no regard to strategy or the benefit of helping your country win the war.
These people have NO respect for the game and the war it is supposed to be honoring.
All manner of disease and tragedy I wish upon you and your families.

Squad 2 "Spit and A6M Dweebs"
Their squad mission statement reads: Be as annoying as gnats and turn, turn, turn.
Images of the aliens fighters in independence day float through my mind. The overmodeling of these planes is astounding. The military would love to get their hands on planes that could perform like this, there would be no stopping the air superiority.

Squad 3 "The Strato-Con Alt Monkeys... AKA. the Space Shuttles"
Their squad mission statement reads: Get as high as possible then fly for hours to get 1 or 2 kills.
If there were cars that got the mpg. of a Pony in Aces High there would be no giant oil companies. I'm amazed we needed more than 50 gal. of petrol for the whole war. that would have kept the Ponys and F4U's up for 10 years it seems.

Squad 4 "Bomber Group (insert name here)"
Their squad mission statement reads: Flatten anything you see.
I actually have respect for the patience it takes to fly so long. The only problem I see is did we ever have a B17 shot down in the war? If so, how?
The guns can sink a carrier at 5000 yds. Enough said here.

Squad 5 "The Real Pilots"
Their squad mission statement reads: Do your best to help your country and fellow man.
These pilots fly with each other and actually try to win the war. They give respect where it is due and try to honor the pilots who actually flew in WW2. They don't believe there is such a thing as stealing a kill or shooting at a chute. There is true strategy involved with what they do. Salute to any and all who fit into this category.

That is my rant for the evening. Sorry to be a pain in the bellybutton but it was really bothering me. If you think I'm full of s*** so be it, but this still needed to be said.

If you feel the need to call me a whiner... go ahead but don't just dismiss what I've said because you might fall into squads 1-4.

:D

haahhaa thats good!

And you should be ashamed... no where did you say the word conspiracy or threaten to remove your $15.00 from the HTC coffers.

A whine... I laugh at your definition.  ;)

I think Rude (from the 13th TAS) has a copyright on "Whine of the Week" ... better call his lawyer before you move forward with this.
