The trash at the dump is very frightened I'm sure.;)
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

lazs2, my girlfreind bought me one for last Christmas. I cast my own 8mm lead bullets and reload. Do the same for my Enfeilds No.4 Mk1 and Mk2. :)

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.

And I am gonna pour me a pint of excellent beer tonight.  Why?  Because I made it.   So what was your point again?

mmm you probably bought it because you feel that the power associated with owning firearms makes up for deficiencys in the rest of your life ie wealth, social standing, respect of peers etc, you might of course use firearms as a fetish due to problems of a sexual nature - ie lack of libido, erectile dysfunction etc - owning a
"powerful" weapon may allow and elderly man to once again feel that he has the vigour and strength of a youth long gone.

Actually Lazs, Beetle and Curval could buy a Mauser in Britain if they were so inclined. But as we know they are not so inclined.

I think I could probably buy one here in Ireland too. I recently tried out a heavy Swedish Mauser which was a prize in a shootiing competition. Gawd it was heavy and very loooong.

scrade.... the fact that you are afraid of firearms is probly why you try to make it seem that they are a bad thing and that they somehow make up for some deficiency in life.   I feel pretty fortunate in the way my life and health are going... I hope you feel the same.   If you could get over your jealousy and fear of firearms you would probly be happier tho.

I just thought that it was a pretty decent price (less than $300) for an unfired piece of history with all the accessories including  bayonet and cleaning kit etc..  1000 rounds of mauser ammo is cheap and there are plenty of places to shoot it.

Any country where you can buy and own such a gun for this price iand have places to shoot it is indeed fortunate.
