June 1975 NBA introduces the off hand shot rule. Wherein if a player has a break away he must shoot the ball only with his off hand. This rule was introduced to make the game more fair to loser teams.

July 1975 NBA drops the off hand shot rule as stupid.

The NBA gives the bottom half of the league all the best draft pics, which the top half have no chance at.  They make each team have the same number of players which we don't.

SCCA World Challenge racers (who drive a wide variety of different cars) recieve weight penalties when they win a race to keep things competetive.

Only in sports were the teams are perfectly evenly matched.  Since we don't force each team to have a fixed number of players, and operate in mirror imaged terrains other steps might need to be taken to achieve balance.

No, there isn't a salary cap in baseball. There is a 'luxury tax' and the Yankees pay a ton of money to the other teams each year so that they can have that team salary that is nearly twice the next team. Actually, sounds a bit similar if you stop and think about it :). This could be better than the NFL which DOES have a salary cap and "parity".

OK.. The Reason the Rule is not fair is that it is not constant... Game rules are constant and known and controllable.

If I log in at 8:00 with the intention of flying the P-51D, and it's not available, then this is a change of what is normal.

To relate back to my rules example because everyone must be too obtuse to realize what I am saying here...

This would be like the team showing up and expecting to put the 3 star players on the floor, but told they cannot.

2. NASCAR telling the winning driver of a race that in the next race he has to drive a slower car.

The Driver shows up on race day and is told (his perfectly legal within regulations car) cannot be driven, but he can drive something else or switch to "team looser" and drive their car.

Nascar has regulations on engine / car specifications. It does this to create an equal playing field.

Exactly... My P-51D s the same exact P-51D that the other countries can fly.

I dont think the rules need to be constant, but they need to be consistant. They are, for all sides.

This rule is also constant and consistent.  When you join the team with the most numbers, you know exactly what you are signing up for.  At any time you can see how many players are on and what the implications of a numbers imbalance is.

LOL.  Did you read any of the responses?  It's pretty clear that everyone understands your analogies perfectly well, and also understands why they are flawed.
