COOL, We are making progress on our John Kerry list:

1. He has a Brain (kinda general because most humans do in fact have a brain but its a start)

2. His lack of testicular fortitude is actually a plus because....ok let me spin this....he won't invade anyone while president.

3. He's not Bush (even though this one is obvious and should be disqualified. Of course he's not Bush he's John Kerry)

4. He's got military exp. (ok not a bad one and I'm not gonna bash him)

5.  He has nice hair

6.  He's tall

7.    He can pronounce NUCLEAR

WoW great list of pros for your presidential canidat.  Any more ?

I will help Guns! Though I am not a fan of Kerry, how can you be? has he said anything of substance?

He claims he will somehow, (through closing tax loopholds?) stop outsourcing?

I kinda hoped a few of his supporters on this board would give us an idea of why this guy is good, other then he is not Bush, I gues that is to much to hope for.

???

The last time I checked the national guard was considered military experience.

I will give you this, Kerry has 4 months of combat experience and Bush has none.  Both though have military experience.

Good one GTO,  That's exactly what I'm looking for.  And, no, it should be obvious that I do not like Kerry BUT, I am trying to guage what the dems see in him other than the fact that he's not Bush.  I think "elect ANYONE but this guy" is just a dangerous attitude.

Kerry is a standard political hack, but that's not looking too bad these days.

He won't have Rumsfeld, Rice, Wolfowitz and a variety of similar but lower level staffers as senior foreign policy and domestic policy advisors pushing their think tank vision of the world.

ultra melon will not be Attorney General (admittedly the dirty picture pushers and Internet bong sellers will get a pass).

Cheny will not be his vice president.

We will not have a neoconservative philosophy running foreign policy (which is quite different from "traditional" conservative Republican policy of even 10 years ago). Not one mention of the "B" word :)

militarily speaking bush jr was more highly trained and went thru more rigorous selection than kerry did. "for the record".

Guns

I agree it is a stupid attitude, I am not pro Bush, I do not think he is a great or even a very good president.

I have issues with his stance on immigration, gun control, Medicare, and the environment and his spending.

I am willing to look at Kerry, with an open mind, but I have not seen anything of substance from him.  Worse his camp come up with some really stupid ****, like my 527 group is good but yours is bad. Hmm yeah that make lots of sense.  Or the Korea troops thing. Its good if Kerry says it, but then he flip flops and now it is bad cause Bush is doing it.

For now I am voting Bush, he is not great, but he is not as bad as the nutty leftist fringe people make him out to be either.
