This is not my skin:

It is my pilot and subdued star-and-bar but the skin belongs to someone else.

This is what the skin I submitted looks like:

P51D12061004 - 8AF/20FG/77FS

That top skin belongs to the 339th Fighter Group probrably designed by Darknet...

I just went online and verified it. I also verified what was built and it is shows the correct skin as well.

Did you happen to go offline and pick up something else?

Anyone else seeing what MacNix is seeing online?

This morning the correct skin is showing for me too.

When I saw a p51 res file loaded, I went to the hanger and saw a list pick for the 20FG; but selecting it produced the 339FG skin. Picking a different skin, even a different plane, and coming back to this skin did not fix the problem. The only proof that the top picture was taken on-line is TALAS and Waffle being listed in the upper right corner. The bottom picture was taken off-line to show what the skin was supposed to look like.

I'm running 256-skin resolution. Maybe this new 20FG skin was taking over the skin slot (like p51d3) that was previously filled by the 339th skin, and it takes a game restart to propagate the skin through the different skin resolutions.

Last night I was picking a skin for a F4u and it called it III/JG2 or something. The skin was right, the name was wrong. Bit weird, but I chalked it up to download frenzy. I expect it to be alright today.

I went and checked and the 339th skin and the 20th are both the exact same skin. Guess thats what I was looking for when I posted in a different thread. I knew I had seen two identical ponies somewhere. BTW this is checking it online. Hope this helps.

I had the same error, deleted plane cache folder for p51 and now the correct skin.

Maybe need to force a plane cache rebuild after download?

I think this problem will appear again.. glitch with the cache and downloading new skins.
