Anybody else lose 10-15fps on the new map? I was just barely able to fly with a decent (read. 20-40fps) on the other maps, but on OZ it's 10-30, and that's bad. Makes cv landings interesting at 7pfs. Could some of the "junk" or eyecandy be taken out?

Just me?

p.s. WOOT HT on the new changes. All good ideas!

Nope. My FPS were great all night
TON of new skins DLed while playing though

noticed better results when i upgraded sound card from the originial that came with the computer

I see no differance between a small maps or the large ones. Glad to see the large ones back, I like them better than the small ones.

it can pretty much be attributed to all the strats scattered all over.

You guys flying in the center with the big furball?

Or in the smaller fights scattered along the edges?

it's even noticeable away from furball island... there are simply too many strats in proportion to bases. strats that serve very little purpose other than to drain fps.

I did not notice the game playing any differently, but I must confess I have not looked at the FPS display either.

I wasn't planning on spending any money on upgrading, the game ran "good enough" already. Then almost by accident I ran across a 2 gig processor and motherboard combo on ebay for a little over a 100 bucks brand new in box. Ebay has some great deals, I know it can be time consuming and risky but worked out for me (this time).

Anywhere ghosth. When attacking/defending a base w/ 3-4 on each side, I lose 10fps easy. If it's a furball of any size, it get's VERY stuttery. By myself takin' off/landing on a cv, it's under 10fps (makes for fun landings w/ oil on windscreen at 7fps), where it is normally 15-20. I just think there is a tad 2 much "stuff" on this map (barges, misc. eye candy etc).

I actually like all the strat objects. A loss of 5-10 fps is justified. The center island actaully feels inhabited , not a barren wasteland like most GV areas.

Anywho, yes my Frame rates have dropped to 20 from 40.. In tower..

Minus 5 maybe 10 fps, not noticeable unless the crtl-I was on though. Not new to AH2 either, this map had it in AH1 as well.
