Which processes to quit?
« on: August 20, 2004, 12:53:45 PM »
Hey all:

I stopped the processes I could reckognize as per Skuzzys post, but I still have these. Can someone tell me which others I can disable? Here's the list:

nvsvc32.exe
NMSSVC.exe
alg.exe
SKSMAILD.exe
SKDAEMON.exe
Sktempdm.exe
rundll32.exe
PROMON.exe
SMtray.exe
explorer.exe
spoolsv.exe
svchost.exe  (local service)
svchost.exe  (Network service)
svchost.exe  (system)
svchost.exe  (system)
lsass.exe
services.exe
winlogon.exe
csrss.exe
smss.exe
system
System idle process

Does commit charge, mean that's how many RAM Megs are being used for these processes?

Thanks in advance .
