Exactly true...just not at all compelling.
Michael Jordan came into the '92 games as the best player in the world. If any team, any group of players, could ever have coasted into a contest the '92 team was it.
But from all accounts of the coaching staff, Coach K, Daly etc, the practices they supervised in Barcelona were the hardest, longest and best display of basketball they'd ever seen before or since -- better than the games.
So Stern may wonder why folks don't come as often to see these guys as they did MJ, Larry and Magic etc. Well this is a big part of it. There is no money, there is no one forcing you to play, what do you bring to the table? Duncan has that, AI has that...the rest...well...
That's the difference between good and great, the '92 team had an unrelenting desire to crush everyone else, to be the best. Anything beyond that was an after thought.
