I said no text

Ok Ok I'll write some text.
Honestly! I found it quite by accident offline.

Pretty cool way of doing it. Simulates muscle spazem/fatigue from moving it so fast?
Get your mind out of the gutter you Pervs.

MuAhahahahahaha, luv it.

Ahh I get what your driving at the FF stick kicks it in. That sucks

I found with my Saitek you really have to slam it almost full deflection fast to kick it in.

The only time I ran into it was at the top of a tail slide.  I was trying to keep control of my bird and whammo.  It's a good feature and I can understand its necessity,  but I hate to be punished for other's transgressions.  Is there some way to alleviate its effects during extreme maneuvers such as the tail slide when fast and furious stick input often is the only way to recover?

Brought me into bad situation right away when i was flying my 109G-10. After a steep descent, flying around 420mph, the aircraft was going into a slow right roll at 1000 feet altitude. I tried to get out when the message appeared and crashed right into the ground. ;(

I did not understand what the message was for at first.  It would only pop up when I was typing messages into the buffer quickly???

I tried jerking my TM stick to get the message to come up deliberately, but I could not get it to work that way.

However, I had other problems with planes refusing to roll left.  Bizarre stuff, and I also had couple of takeoff rolls where the aircraft would only circle to the right, hard right.  Like the right brake was locked.

Smash ya gotta be kidding about trying to make it happen with a TM. It explains something though. As soon as a con would see me on his 6. He would start stick stirring. When I tried to follow i would lockup and auger. He would fly off like nothing happened.

This happened about 5 times before i gave up. I have a SW pre pro.

BTW if your talking about offline. I have a very hard time getting it to come on offline even with my SW.

MS SW FF PRO here... and I have really BIG probs with anti-stick-stirring... This night it killed me more than 3 times
1) while I was taking off trying to keep straight with rudders

2) while pulling out off a steep dive while lining up a shot with rudders

3) while landing see 1)

I heard about "stick stirring" in this forum for the first time and I wasn't aware that induced warps were to set off so quickly. I like the idea that this cheating is to be prevented but not for the price of freedom of movement. As so many of you like to recite: this is not quake, and I think that most of the pilots here are reasonable enough not to use such methods. You dont come to AH just to ammass any kind of fraggs or so.

I don't really know yet how "anti-stick-stirring" (A.S.S) is set off, but everytime it happened to me I was NOT doing anything like wranking my rudder from left to right. Besides of the deaths I described A.S.S. cost me lots of kills... getting your controls locked up while lining up for the final shot really can RUIN your whole evenening. I've quit AW3 recently now and really began to settle with AH's price politics - butt bellybutton is really putting me pain in the same...

Can it be that A.S.S. is set off more easily when your connection is worse? That would punish people who are punished already even more - I don't like that idea...  And freezing controls for several seconds is much oversized I think... smaller intervalls would keep the warp away too but wouldn't be as fatal as they are now...

That's about it.. I'm sorry, but I am really annoyed tonite... couldn't fly for more than a week... and now THIS... grrr   stop A.S.S.!!!
Real men fly Radial!

MS FF PRO here, I only tried offline.
Just trying to make rudder corrections
on takeoff locks me tight.While I don't
agree with stick stirring or creating a warp
by any means, I can't fly without controls.
Onething no one seems to have mentioned,
having a six shooter open up when you thought
it was clear startles me often enough.
With a MS stick the first thing that seems to
get moved is the rudder even with the damper set high. I don,t think all the warps are
intentional. (and yes I am looking arround
continually) and still get caught off guard.

punt!!!

the news section on the main hts page says ht wrote a damper that will allow us to fly again. now just waitin for the update.

imho this is a big enough bug to stop the presses i.e. all other bug fix stuff and get the sidwinder stick bug fixed pronto. cant you turn this "feature" off or remove the ill concieved or executed thing all together

sorry for the venom i cant play well at all it is insidious in its operation you set stick and make limited control inputs get to a fight make any fast move and bang you are barny the target drone.it is drivin me nuts

beggin now towd
