a Codec isnt like a zip file, its the algorythm used to keep your video from being 200 gigs.  In this case you used :

Windows Media Video V8 221Kbps

If you want web space, Id just get a good solid host.  I use hostforweb.com because they have good support and tons of installed cgi scripts (like for a message board or blog).  They arnt the absolute cheapest, but they are a good value for the great support and features.

Regsitering a domain will cost about $10.95 for a dot com (do yourself a favor, and dont choose .net or anything...it just confuses everyone.  Right now, everyone just defaults to .com

Hosting packages start at just $4.95/month..but Id reccoment the $9.95 package as it gives you lots of bandwidth and extras.

Nacho and I both use Hostultra.

Going by what Alf says about that one, it sounds alot like hostultra.

I can't remember what Nacho has, but I have the 15 dollar per month one. There is cheaper ones there.

How good is 5GB storage and 50GB bandwidth use a month? For 8 bucks a month?

If there are any web guys out there... I could use some help on feedback forms... I just can't get it to work right.

Id do it for 8 bucks a month.

Just think, Netfirms Big Business web package offers 2GB storage, and 100GB bandwidth for 15 bucks a month.

Yours isnt a bad deal.

Well I make movies, my average is about 40MB in size... what would be a good bandwidth for that...?

20 gigs of bandwith should be enough, but you may need 50 it all depends on how good your movies are :D , the good ones become very popular and can eat up bandwidth like Doritos® at a lan party.  Most of my movies zap 10-20 gigs for the 1st week they are out and then about 1-5 a week for the following month, residual bandwidth is minimal at 1-2 gigs a month, but remember all I do is mention them here, I dont post on uselnet or make any grand attempts to publisize my site.  Occsionally my site gets a mention on a major website and when that happens, all hell breaks loose and I usually hit near 50 gigs that week and just hope that it happens near the end of a billing cycle so I get a fresh pile O bandwidth.

Just to give you an idea of what can happen, when I got back from the con last year, I posted a video of AH2...it was done by filming HT using my cameras video feature.  The quality was pretty low, but the community was desprate for any info it could get.  My site went down within 24 hours for exceeding bandwidth (at that time I had 20 gigs/month) and after I purchased an extra 50 gigs, I nearly hit that within the next 4 days (thank goodness the con was near the end of a billing cycle:D )  Because it was the first video of AH2 released to the public, almost every website dedicated to flight sims had a link within a week......and here I thought I was done paying for the con when I got home :rofl

While we are naming hosts.....I use one that is quite nice too.  Similar price and good service! http://www.ehostsource.com $5.95 a month for 500MB storage and 50GB transfer per month!  I register the website at http://www.go-daddy.com   Registration and all Starts at $8.95, but is less for longer renewals.  It's about $24 and change for 3 years of domain registration, as I recall.  All my sites are there now.
