Awesome plane   Glad to see the ground pounders getting variants   How bout a checker board cowling? That would look awesome! <G>

Will check the info on HP and Weight for the 1C.  shouldn't be much diffence in the planes other than it should be more streamlined without the extra drop points

When thinking of the F4U-1C you have to remember that it is an offshoot off the F4U-1D (some think it's derrived from the F4U-1A which is not the case).  The only difference between the F4U-1D & F4U-1C is the gun package, and the fact that the F4U-1C only had four rocket rails in comparison to the -1D's eight rocket rails.  Any difference in weight would be negligable at best.  Both aircraft used the R-2800-8W powerplant, and both had identical hardpoints under the fuselage.
