« on: August 23, 2004, 12:39:02 AM »
What i remember back in '96-'97 is that the most common hi-end desktop PCs were....

*90 to 233 mhz Intel or Amd processors
*16-64 mb PC 66/100 mhz ram
*2 to 5 gig harddrives
*2 to 4 megs of video ram

...so what are the most common specs are we seeing today for '04 - '05?

Would disagree on CPU, high end stuff is now AMD FX53 and Athlon 64s. In fact by next year high end stuff will be "dual core" AMD CPU's. Similar to having a dual processor setup but will all be on a single die. In essence, 2 cpus in one.
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
Asus M3N-HT mobo
2 x 2Gb Corsair 1066 DDR2 memory
