AH Merchandise
« on: August 24, 2004, 07:18:37 AM »
Just curious if HTC actually sells much of their merchandise they have advertised?

I can see the hats, cups and polo shirts maybe.

But the T-shirts and mousepads can be made by anyone with a printer and a clothes iron for a fraction of the price.

Not trying to be a --- ----

Just curious if any of that stuff actually sells

what would be really neat is if you could get fighters/buffs that were from the game but had the insignia of a certian squad or AH pilot on them, as in HTC offering a collection set, and the pilots picked would come from the long time members that have ben here since the beginning......just a thought  :D

I do have the ability to make squad shirts with handles on them, along with alot of other cool stuff,  for anyone that is interested,  top quality, money back guarantee

can email me through my profile

Funny you said that.
Right after I posted that I was thinking along similar lines
That if they sold models or replica aircraft they would probably sell a ton of em.
And/Or lithographs.
Or better yet,  high quality Calanders.

If they wanted to do something with T-shrts they could post an image that would print out full size without resizing and encourage/give permission to the players to print out and iron on their own T-shirts. and get some free advertising out of it.

Hmm that gives me an idea....

The Stainless steel Aces High mugs rocks. I was given one for my birhtday a couple of BDs back.
I find that after using this mug I can now increase the diameter of the crater I make when crashing by at least two feet. :D

I bought a tee shirt and hat that I wear when they're clean. I thought eventually I'd  run into someone, somewhere who'd say "Hey, you fly Ace High too?'".

Hasn't happened yet and come to think of it,  might be scary if it did.

Hehehe, just what some newbie needs, he's at an airshow with his AH shirt and runs into Mr.Black with a dozen beers in him just after his 8 track ate his last SRV tape.

Gotta admit  there are a few people I wouldnt mind seeing face to face either if for no other reason then to see the 'tude  change.

In my almost 20 years of dabbling online in one form or another I have met quite a few people And one fact always amazed me
The people who seem cool online are typically cool  folk in real life
and almost with out exeption the "tough" guys have an entirely different attitude when met with face to face and more times then not turn out to be nothing more then online mouths and real life wimps and not even worth confronting.

I remember many moons ago of such an incident there was this guy who created all sorts of problems for the community and  talked a real tough talk.
Man to listen to him you would think he was 6'5 250 lbs of pure muscle and a real Bad A
Anyway he used to create all sorts of problems for people till it finally got to the point where a few of us had had enough. Someone found out where he was attending a picnic of another online community and a few of us showed up.

This "Tough guy" eded up being this skinny twerp that  when wearing a full compliment of winter clothing and soaking wet coulnt have weighed more then 110 lbs.
Now I myself am not a big man but when I introduced myelf to him I thought he turned white and I thought he was gonna cry.
We all just laughed at him and left him alone.

So I guess thats what Im trying to say.
Dont even bother yourself about it.
A computer monitor and distance do wonders for some folks bravery. and 99 of 100 of them are more talk then substance.

Now. Back on topic !

Didnt have to even do that.

For about $10 you can get a package of  15 blank Iron on Transfers that you just load in your printer, print out and Iron on yourself.

routinely make T-shirts for may daugher from pics she finds online all the time. Things hold up damn good too

Now Im thinking of doing the same thing for myself using screenshots taken from the game And maybe capping it with the AH logo and Web address
IF HTC doesnt object that is.
And perhaps wearing it to the airshow this weekend

BTW Im not looking to sell em. just wear em
