LOOKS GOOD NOMDE !!! We're gonna have a stable !!

Greebo suggested adding a canopy rail shadow. Comes out nice. Your just adding a white/black panel line with the shadow. I'm going to add the slider line for the canopy as you did.

Let's keep in touch. It would suck to be working on the same plane :(

Next is this 56th FG ride for Guppy.

62nd FS, 56th FG P47D-22
"Stalag Luft III-I Wanted Wings"
Pilot Lt. Albert Knafelz
Serial number 42-26298
Squadron Codes LM-A

The other one isn't a 56th ride.

TY for the reviews gents

nopoop, great idea on keeping in touch.

I have a few I want to do from the 56th FG, and have researched a number of other FG's which have colorful skins.

I really would like to complete:
1. Gabreski's plane he used just before his capture, invasion strips, p47-d25
2. Capt. Donovan Smith's Ole Co*k III, p47-d25
3. Maj. Comstock's Happy Warrior, p47d-25

There are a couple of p47-m pictures I have and would like to use em on the p47-d40 model we have, but need some verification from Ht and company before putting any time into that. Only reason I bring that up is that there's no d-40 skins completed yet and i'm kinda bored flying around in that silver puppy :D

Nice skin Nomde.  Looks great.

Oh and Furball it's not the skinners fault that majority of the skins we can do for the Pony are metallic.  Mirroring issues kill alot of the multi color birds.

Nomde Happy Warrior or 'Oregons Brittania' is accepted and ingame. Tho I didn't do it as Comstocks ride. I did it as it first came up as Zemke's ride. Upper invasion stripes an a non colored rudder. Did it clean cuz it was the first bubble top to the 56th and had just come up.

4th FG early ride is submitted. This shot isn't the final cut.

Rozzi Geth/Miss Fire I'm working on as a D30. Lotsa fiddling left to do. There's got to be away with this reflective skin..

I'm a good deal of the way into this D30. Found some more photos. And it's coming together. Dealing with the "reflective" skin with this one also.

Liked minds think a like, Ol' Co*k ( because Frenchy didn't submitt his ) and Gabbys ride were in my future. I have an EXCELLANT plate of Gabbys but can't find a top wing camo shot. If you want to do them then let me know. I'll send you the Gabby plate.

We'll outfit an entire mission !!

Nopoop,
Thanks for reminding me about that Happy Warrior ride you created, I forgot that had already been accepted. I was looking at Comstock's version due to the 63rd FS coloring on the tail surface.

I would like to do the Gabby ride if you don't mind, please send the plate when you get a chance. I have some reference for the painting on the upper surfaces, although there's not alot since the invasion stripes are there.

I talked with Frenchy last night on the phone and he's 99% completed with Donovan Smith's Ole C**k III. He'll either complete it within the next week or send it to me to touch up, and then it'll be submitted.

How far along are you on the Stalag Luft III , Wanted Wings skin?

Great job on the '47 skins, Nopoop and Nomde!!   Glad to see you are working on Eagleston's 354th FG Jug - really a noteworthy skin!

I had started this one too as a first skinning project and never got back to it.    Looks like it's in good hands.    Please hurry ;)

Here's a bit of help on natural metal treatment - I think I got this from Waffle, who posted it a while ago, either here or at AHSkins, I forget.

This is the fuselage detail:

And here's what it looks like in game (max texture size 512Mb):

I think it looks amazing.   Compare the difference to the wings.   Sorry, I don't have wing skins!
