Mine was today,this afternoon, over A8. I was in my trusted Fw190 when I saw a 109 coming for me, 12 o clock, co Alt. There was a spit near there so I said..."WTF?...lets HO him".

Well the guy shredded my plane...with only 7.92mms!!!! I asked him if he had gondolas and answered me that the he had only MGs left! LOL!

I am writing this now, I had to go out cuz I couldnt pilot because the laughing!

One of my funniest was yesterday.

There is a bug where your rudder setting at landing is carried over to your next spawn.

I landed a damaged B26 and had to use a lot of rudder to keep it on the runway.  I then jumped into a panzer and made a 15 min drive to an airfield.  As I got close and started to get jumpy in my chair, I switched to the gunner view.  Well when I did that, my left-over rudder setting from my B26 landing kicked in and the tank made a sharp left turn and I rolled it for what seemed like 5 min and then I died.

I was soooo pissed but then I couldn't stop laughing at what it must have looked like to the enemy to see my panzer charge the field and then do a suicide roll on level ground 2K away from them.

 A few weeks ago. Was trying to fly my first C47 run to help the squad capture a base.
 The squad had taken the ack down and had the enemy surpressed,  just in time for my arrival!
  I had taken off from A1 so now I needed to shed at least 10k of altitude before trying  to drop the paras.
 I decide to cut throttle and figure I'll just roll this baby on down Just like aP-38!

heading  down...

still doWN!!! trying to pull up now  

Cripes she's a dog and airspeed REALLY starts climbing but I'm not getting any response from the controls!

 DOWN STILL I head with all sorts of creaking and groaning from the speakers....

 < insert LOUD wing ripping noise and other self destructive sounds>

 

 I almost logged from embarrasment.

Was flying a B-17 at about 20k over the old F16.  Made a couple of passes as the bad guys climbed up to me.  Just before they got into range, a squadie volunteers to gun for me, and I accept.  The bad guys are getting closer, when we discover that my squadie hadn't mapped keys for the gunner positions, so I say "unjoin".  The bad guys are REAL close now, and unjoin doesn't work, so I say ALT F4 -- just as my engines stop.  I'm trying to figure out why, as I notice I am out of fuel....

ping...ping...ping...BOOM!

What a SNAFU that was.

I rooled in a Panzer from A36 one of the first days the new terrain came out.  I headed down the big hill and at the bottom I launched the tank into the air for what must have been a 1/4 mile or more, slowly barrel rolling as I flew.  I just sat here at the keyboard, slack jawed, as my wife snickered from the couch.

Well back in 1.0 I flew a c47 right into the tower of the field that I was trying to capture.  (I didn't know that I was that low.   )

Back in beta, I was riding a goon to an enemy base that Beef descretely bombed for me and he got out of there as to not draw any attention.  This tactic usually works perfectly, as there's no CAP to draw any attention.  Anyways, I'm riding this goon on the deck on a route that arcs above the normal traffic path between these two bases, and I see this dot up ahead.  Crap, I thought, I'm as good as done, so I just kept coming at it and when the icon came close, I was delighted to see C47 pop up. What are the chances of us both running secret missions and meeting in the exact spot and altitude going to eachother's bases?  I know the guy would have radioed his country to tell em where I was, just as I was doing for him, so I figured I may as well accelerate both of our fates.  I took a heading straight on this goon's nose, and when he tried to pull up over me, I pulled up steeply and hit him right in the belly and we both exploded  

If a goon crashes in a remote area and nobody's around, is there any sound?

I was busy typing to a squaddie when I got bounced. I hit enter to send the message off, and began to go defensive. Bank, scissor, grunt, pull. The text buffer was still up and was blocking my 45 view, so I bang on enter again. Yank, pull, swerve, dive... I was beginning to turn the tables on the enemy plane... now pulling lag into a perfect rear quarter shot...he was *mine* and he knew it. I'm so saddled up now it's just silly, less that 200 yards. But DAMMIT the text buffer was still up. I bang on enter yet again.

You know the rest  

Dunno what went wrong there... some kinda radio lag. I can't imagine what he was thinking when he looked back and saw me do this.

Well, this was probably my funniest death...

I was in a B26 and this con came in hi and fast behind me - think it was a F4U...  So, he fired away at me and shot my tail off which promptly made my B26 to do a hard loop so my nose was pointing right back at him (he tucked level right in on my six) and in which I emptied my forward MGs at him!  I saw some debris fall from his aircraft and I can't remember whether he bailed or not, but anyway, my plane then decided to go BANG!  Just the thought of the other guys face always makes my death worth every penny....

 About 2 months ago I was flying around in my 190 and saw a low N1k. So I started my bounce.  Came down on him REALY FAST, he was going pretty fast himself.  Well anyway, I started shooting, saw 1 ping then had to brake off to miss the collision.  

 Well I'm watching him the whole time, he took no damage.  I continue watching him as I pass him on his right.  I continue watching him as he slides 100yds onto my 6. And I continued watching him as he killed me.

 Kill of Udie awarded to Pyro!

dagnabitz! that one still hurts the ole ego

Just as the Typhoon came out, one of my first encounters was with an absolute convoy of the best targets possible - at least 2 B26s, a C47 and some 205 escort. The best thing was I had strayed across this flight as they evidently tried to capture a back Knight field, flying under radar height - the entire flight was at 500ft! Rubbing my hands with glee and thinking of the swearing I was about to incite on channel 1, I dived from my 10k perch towards the big planes and their uselessly low escorts. Remembering to eliminate the biggest threat first, I set up a 380mph approach on the 6 of the C47 - the big target quickly closed into my crosshairs and then - trigger! - about 5 20mm shots streaked from the Typhoon, I thought bugger me this thing is fast, attempted to pull up - attempted to PULL UP - and flew smack bang into the rear of the C47.

Apparently he got away with a lost aileron, rudder and elevator...

I didn't die, but I shoulda shot myself!

I was in a C47.  I landed and taxiied up to the maproom pulled the trigger and watched the string of troops run in.  What?  No capture.  Must be that Vehicle Base troop bug!

It wasn't until the next C47 sortie when I did the same, and again no capture.  My buddy  Oosik parked next to me in a tank says "Hey Jarbo, did ya let all your troops out!"  I pulled the trigger instinctively as I was about to tell him I ain't that stupid as the last troop hopped out and ran into the maproom.  Capture.  My salvo was set to 9.  I was goofing off a few sorties before and forgot to reset my salvo.

I was involved in a 2 on 2 fight, me and Superfly -vs- Saw and Bee, we were in the volcano. we had already killed Saw but Bee was on my 6... I did some pretty cool manuevers, but I couldn't shake Bee, then Superfly dropped in on Bee and shot him up pretty good.... as I was looking back watching Bee go down in flames, and about to type a big "WOO HOOO!!!!" .....I smacked right into the wall of the volcano.

HEY! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!
