Dolomite, that was a really cool story about your trophies!

That was a wonderful gesture and I have alot of respect for you.
I for one, could care less about kills. I'm not sure why, maybe because my dad was involved, but I always had a deep interest in world war 2. I read alot of books and try to get a feel of what it was like for the front line soldier, in a way, it's a tribute to all those who were a part of this tremendous conflict. I like to remember them. I play this sim for the nostalgia. To try and get somewhat of a feel of what it may have been like to rumble down the runway in a tiny clankety 109 or be at 25K in a B17. Of course no game will ever totally recreate this, but to me it's like reading an interactive book. If kills were my only concern, it would be crazy for a lousy pilot like me to take an early model plane against some of the later model ones.
In the same respect, I must admit that when I do see a kill message with my name on it, it's somewhat gratifying, but I don't enjoy the experience of a good dogfight any less if I go down smoking. Most pilots that have killed me usually say "good job" or something like that. I like that commradeship. I have no problem what so ever with people who do fly for kills, nor do I have a problem with chute killers. It is after all a game, and if you enjoy it, go for it! After playing AW for a few years, I began to know who the really good players were, and they're names weren't usually on the top kill lists. I remember people getting really angry at players that cheated. That never bothered me because I felt if they had to do that, well, they were really missing alot in the game, and they weren't impressing anyone but themselves.
Anyway, this game has moved leaps and bounds over AW. Just the feel, the sound, everything, for someone like me, who is very limited in flying time, I enjoy just getting up in the air with different aircraft to see what I can do. The scenery is awseome, so I'm not bored flying to alt with a buff.
Sorry I made this longer than necessary, but that was my two cents.
