Shot the wing off a hurricane tonight, and as the wingless bird went down, a low ranked pilot (top 20, you'd think they would know better) followed the wingless hurri down shooting away, and stealing the kill.
I typed on range WHY would he/she shoot a wingless plane that was obviously on it's way down, and his/her initial response (on range vox. imagine squeaky girlish/kid voice here) was F.U. man(not abbreviated).
Wow. Not what I want, nor should expect to hear in AH. My kids love to sit and watch me fly (thank gosh they were in bed at the time) I asked if he wasn't up late and had school (yeah, i know 2morrow is Sat) based on his young (girlish) voice. He THEN privated me and proceeded to curse me some more. (like I had done anything wrong here, I was after all the one who both lost his kill, AND was verbally assaulted)
After about 5min of dull, childish banter on private channel (and no, he wouldn't duel me, i tried. Guess he/she was afraid to show their lack of ability) he/she (per him/her) squelched me.
Granted, I have had several ch200 spats as of late, but not once have I stooped to personal insults, or cursing, nor would I. IMO it shows ignorance, and lack of wit to have to use curse words. I may call you a skilless pilot, but would never hurl vulgar words.
Here's my question, at what point did the "community" start condoning this terrible behaviour? We can't expect HT to deal with this, as it has become the norm, as opposed to the exception, and is far to frequent. WE as the community should try and discourage this type of actions, and SHOULD be able to police ourself in this matter.
So maybe next time you hear someone cusing on vox, say something. Ask them to please watch the language, or something similar.
