Batteries charged up some, and now you have wonderful pictures, at a high res!

Thats everything I have russian, minus one ammo pouch, and my partisan clothing..

Just need to do some cleaning and shaving, bayonet dosn't fit all the way in, but thats easily fixed in a day or twos work..

And for those who are not in the know of why it dosn't fit...

Oh, and my other pride and joy, is that metal complaint sign..

Ok, now the bad news, the bayonet won't come off at all now, it's down farther then it is in the pics, and is OH so close to being all the way on..

I'd suggest you keep that bayonet off and store it in a safe place. You might poke your eye out.

Take a lighter or a candle and heat the bayonet socket.

The heat will expand the steel just a bit and it should slide back off.

Yeah, someone suggested Hot Water, debating weather to use hot water, or a candle..

Umm.. shouldn't the bayonet be below the barrel, not above it and blocking the gunsight?

If it was on all the way, and twisted, yes thats the way it would be, but if you had read the text along with the images, it won't go all the way down...

Rubber or wood mallet maybe?

If you don't have one a regular hammer and a soft piece of metal like brass, aluminum or a small block of wood to gently tap the bayonet back off the barrel.

IIRC, the bayonet should stick out on the right side ALA most 18th century muskets.

What Blooz said. Don't forget the miracle of modern silicone spray on lubricants with teflon in them either. Soak her down before tapping.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Aren't you too young to have a gun?  16 or something?
