How i feel about a special person
« on: August 28, 2004, 04:38:50 PM »
She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stared too long
I'd probably break down and cry

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine

Where do we go
Where do we go now
Where do we go
Sweet child o' mine

She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where evrything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stared too long
I'd probably break down and cry

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine

Where do we go
Where do we go now
Where do we go
Sweet child o' mine

Let me take a look at your broken heart
You could make me laugh for awhile

1,2,1,2,3,4
(whistle)
Shed a tear cause I'm missin' you
I'm still alright to smile
Girl, I think bout you every day now
Was a time when I wasn't sure
But you set my mind at ease
There is no doubt you're in my heart now

Said "Woman, take it slow
It'll work itself out fine
All we need is just a little patience"
(patience)
Mmmm, yeah

I sit here on the stairs Cause I'd rather be alone
If I can't have you right now I'll wait dear
Sometimes I get so tense but I can't speed up the time
But you know love there's one more thing to consider

Said woman take it slow and things will be just fine
You and I'll just use a little patience
Said sugar take the time cause the lights are shining bright
You and I've got what it takes to make it
We won't fake it, I'll never break it
Cause I can't take it

(whistle)
little patience, mmm yeah, mm yeah
need a little patience, yeah
just a little patience, yeah
some more patience, yeah
could use some patience, yeah
gotta have some patience, yeah
all it takes is patience
just a little patience
is all you need (background vocals)

I'VE BEEN WALKING THE STREETS AT NIGHT
JUST TRYING TO GET IT RIGHT
ITS HARD TO SEE WITH SO MANY AROUND
YOU KNOW I DON'T LIKE BEING STUCK IN THE CROWD
AND THE STREETS DON'T CHANGE
BUT MAYBE THE NAMES
I AIN'T GOT TIME FOR THE GAME CAUSE I NEED YOU
YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, CAUSE I NEED YOU
OOO I NEED YOU, WHOA I NEED YOU
OOOOH, ALL THIS TIME
(ah)

He's drinking still.
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

I used to feel this amazing burning sensation for a special person, but then my doctor gave me something and it went away.

Got a copy of GnR Patience that is live (GREAT quality) where slash really let's go with this steady, stacato riff complimenting izzy on the final bit (the "I've been walkin' the streets at night" bit) that TOTALLY rocks.  Also if you can find it, the Live version of Knocking on Heavens Door from Japan is also quite a gem.

Got a copy of the original GnR appetite that was sent to radio stations WAY before it was released.  Quite rare.  Had a friend who was a prog. director of a top 40 radio station who got it (couldn't play it at the time, was all bubble gum Debbie Gibson type stuff) and thought I would like it.  I threw it into my glove box, and roughly a month later saw the World Premier of Welcom to the Jungle on Headbangers Ball.  I recall my buddy lookin' at me sayin' "I hope we don't like this band, 'cause they got such a wussie name"  I remembered the promo tape in my glove box, and they were a staple of our listening that whole summer (and to this very day)

Guns and Roses, one of the Best Bands Ever!

Completely off topic, but one of my friends was hit in the head by a boom on a sailboat when it changed directions.  It was the "Heavy Metal", about 130 ft steel hull racing sailboat (ocean racer) built by Mitternight.  Mast on that boat was 100 ft tall.  Think it weighed 50 tons.  All steel.

To make a long story short, he was almost knocked off the boat, and he wasn't drinking.  Just wasn't fast enough or alert to see it coming.  He acquired epilepsy as a result of the injury, and had to give up drinking alcohol.

If you were injured Nilsen, I think it would be wise to see a doctor mate.  Non of our business, but want you to be here for awhile.  :)
