If you spend enough time online, you will get alot of kills.
Now kills/sortie, or figuring a kills/time stat might be more appropriate.
And then there is also the time honored tradition of kills/death. For instance Thunder, you brought up the fact that Bane has 30 more kills than Hangtime, well thats true. But he also died 122 times more, for a total of almost twice as many deaths. Just from stats, I would rate Hangtime much higher than Bane. (nothing personal to any of the pilots involved).
But just simply looking at total kills is plain wrong.
Vermillion, I said "ego appart" hehehe. Don't get frustrated, eveybody knows that if you can fly 1 hour a day (wich is already a lot) you will never rack up 200 kills.
The Kill ratio is not as good as a reference either, maybe you guys fly to live, and I do to most of the time but you can find me out numbered and lower in a P47 too, scrambling at an incoming raid. And this is a sure death. So going all the way down low to kill a goon actually penalize you rather than letting your field be capture and cleverly shoot down his escort.
The kill per time ratio is also not a reference. Take a niki, go at A1 and dogfight all the night, you will pile up body bags way faster than taking a P47, going 17k and looking around for targets.
HTC understood this, that's why scores are computed using various "ratios", aren't they
Vermillion?. As I explained, those post are not for ego boosting, but I thought it would be fun to know how many kills in what plane our comunauty could end up with, and as far as I'm concerned, I enjoyed it
