If California was divided....

I believe that Northern California typicaly votes majority conservative as oppossed to liberal.

it's the weather and the land.  You can see about any kind of terrain in Ca within a tank full of gas or less.   The weather suits most people.

Bad part is that 10 years ago only 20% of the population couldn't afford to buy a house here... now it is 27% and going up.

Gee, now somebody was making assumptions and generalizations about Mid-Westerners and someone called them on it and generally upset a Canadian.

Another day at the O-Club.

I've never lived in the bay area or Los Angeles. I did live for a while in San Diego and that is about as close as I've been to a "liberal enclave" and it really wasn't at the time. It was a Navy town 25 years ago.

IMHO, California is far more conservative than most from out of state realize. Of course, that's just my opinion. I grew up in San Joaquin valley and I currently live in eastern Kern County.

Exactly. I often visit my family in the Modesto area. I have no intention of ever returning there. I like the middle of nowhere. I might move farther north one day, but I'll probably stay on the east side of the Sierra Nevada for the rest of my life.

Ah beautiful downtown norco.  lived at hamner and 2nd for years until they put freeway in.  the aromatic summers spent working on the dairy farms. shoveling recycled hay into trucks then spreading it in the vineyards in ontario. oh the fun of my younger days.
