Air Warrior touched a LOT of enthusiast in its day. Almost a life changing era for some.
I din’t care what anyone thinks AH is most based on AW concept.

How many gams are remembered with such fondness 35 yrs later? Like family?

Keeping AH alive and well tends to have an importance in the genre. Many still have not experienced. Once its gone you prolly won’t see anything like this concept.

There are people here whom I have known since the early to mid 1990s many of whom I have met IRL and have IRL friendships with outside the game thanks to Air Warrior. Unfortunately being in this community that has been around for so long there are a lot of close friends I have lost over the years .... Arc, Whels, TgrDoc, Coach, Ack-Ack, Tequila (TC) Chaser, LoneWolf, and NoBaddy just to name a few.

One of the things that's always bothered me about being one of the few, is how we keep getting....... fewer.

I remember when AW tanked and all you guys moved to AH (well, a lot did).  That was a sort of watershed moment for AH when it seemingly went from high fidelity air combat realism to an arcade game.  Well played AW fellas, well played.  No hard feelings.  We had a lot of fun, didnt we.

Umm don't I remember your name from AW?

AH was in VERY early development in 2000, can't really blame the arcade on AWers or anyone else, we didn't write the code <shrug> We didn't hold a gun to anyone's head :)

Yeah.  We remember the warm welcome.

Good thing we came, we and the other castaways ("Fighter Wing", something like that?) saved you $30/month Aboriginal People from going the way of the dodo birds.  But don't let that make you feel less superior, we're aware that we were the wretched refuse, cast up on your pristine shore.

I was a fighter ace baby before I got hooked in AH..

Tried AH during beta but found the icons and planes so small it wasn't enjoyable..

The update from FA 2 to FA 3 changed fighter ace so much I went back to AH in tour 2 I  think..been here ever since..

Hoping it stays enjoyable for years to come but if not I am sure I can find a similar distraction for my daily a2a fix..

I can’t remember how much HT flew AW but I do know I saw Pyro quite a bit, so, besides work at WB they were in AW too. iI think HT invented the gun cam in AW. I also remember HT seeking work with AW. Glad he didn’t get it, we got this. This was HTs calling.
He also took advantage of some of our honed skills.

We doubled or tripled the pop and revenue. Scenarios came from AW by the same crew. (Brooke)

I don’t think the post meant harm, but this is reality.

The welcome from already existing players kinda sucked.

I tried Fighter Ace briefly. Hacking/Cheating seemed a major problem to me.
