If you call being misinformed by our and british intelligence and  acting on it liying,(Why do you think we are changing the C.I.A.)

YES

But whether he lied or not it does not matter because saddam was a US enemy that previously had WMDs and may have still had them.

answer this YES or NO. Was bringing human rights and democracy to Afganistan and Iraq bad for the people of those countries or the world.

I say NO, and to those who say YES stop watching CNN.

They are both part of the War on Terror.  Other than that... they are both Middle Eastern nations, both formerly held under the grip of oppressive regiemes, etc, etc.

Whatever else do you mean?

When discussing Saddam, Iraq, and the war, I see Afghanistan being brought up in the same sentence by someone when no one has made a single disagreement with regards to Afghanistan.

Just curious why something irrelevant to the discussion was brought into it - perhaps to strengthen a point?

BTW- I never asked what they had in common, but what they had to do with each other.

while we are involved in a totally stupid topic, Ill point out a totally irrelevant fact.

President Bush is not a "Junior". The W, which stands for Walker, differs completely from the middle name of his father, which is Herbert.

BTW. Ive come to the conclusion that I have very little respect for the presidential criticisms of the American left. Take a look at the comment bush made about the war on terror in the taped interview that aired recently. Any American with a marginal degree of common sense (which HOPEFULLY represents a majority) can see that his quote was taken out of context.
Whereas the mainstream media is content to put one phrase upon the American people, who are starving for any juicy information on a lie or throwback from a government official.

What makes it EVEN more fun and wonderful is what kind of effect this is going to have on Kerry's numbers. John Edwards pounced on that quote like a linebacker on a loose ball. And I garuntee that Bush will be called a flip-flopper for the quote, just because of the shock value! But the American people, which I HOPE have some sense, are going to see how John Kerry is blowing this out of proportion just for his gain... its going to be beautiful.

The Kerry campaign and the left in general just peed into a light socket. A giggling Bush stands by :)

Come on people.. its "Taken out of Context: 101"

His intention? No.
Plausible deniability. Those that spread the "intel" as truthful and legit to our politicians and policy makers are the ones guilty of spreading lies. The politicians were guilty of accepting the data as fact and truth.

If I gave you a new theory of xxxx, gave you falsified data that I manipulated as the truth, and you then spread that new theory as fact, you would not be guilty of lying. Your intent was not to deceive.

Edit....If however you knew what I had was not truthful but decided to spread the theory as fact, then you would be guilty of lying.

I believe Bush took for truth the intel presented him.
