Type IX, it is[:)]

 It is, U-177.

 Type IXD2 to be exact.


 


 Pictures taken in the Indian Ocean, one of several Boats sent to Penang, though I can not find specific details shwoing this boat actual went their, she did patrole and sink ships in the Indian Ocean.
