Whatever happened to the tour of duty mode??

Is that still in the works or has it been skipped entirely?

they are working on it, but need to have AHII complete (as in plane models and stuff) first IIRC.

also this is a huge undertaking, coding all the AI and missions and stuff

probably 2 years out IMHO.

TOD is a varient of AHII. TOD will be campaign based, or at least to my understanding, and each player will have a career. Based on your performance in sorties and things, you will get promoted/demoted. It sounds great, but thats all I can think of off of the top of my head.

ToD from my understand is just Il2 VEF and VWF with AH2 graphics. You earn medals promotions etc.

Seriously what is left to finish in AH2 before they start ToD.

Ive been reading up on ToD and its EXACTLY what Ive been lookin for, for many years.

Updating all aircraft models that haven't been done yet i would imagine. redoing cockpits. (Like the new 109 pits), plus all new texture maps for the new models. not to mention the bugs that keep popping up. maybe some new maps, or converting SEA maps to AHII. quite a bit of work for what, 2 artists working there?
