At least 5 times tonite players intentionally disconnected in order to avoid being killed by me.  No, they were not coincidences, as they ONLY occured when the planes had taken critical damage and were about to crash.  I received no credit for those kills.  HTC needs to remedy this soon.  It's becoming an epidemic.  Simply award the kill, and let's be done with it.

Apparenlty its more a case of "Its my ball, if I can't win, I am going home."

Though the kill would be nice, I prefer they go home, and don't come back to this neighborhood.

Indian,

What's your point?  Of course I know it's a beta.  Are you saying I shouldn't post things that are real problems?  I'm now playing the beta much less because of this.  Beta or not, it would be nice to see it fixed quickly.

No im saying there is slightly more important things for HTC to worry about, like Downtown said lets run the guys off the game. Yuo know you out smarted him and so do the other guys around you. When this go pay it will not happen because these kind of guys dont want to pay for game.

"there is slightly more important things for HTC to worry about"

Have to disagree.  One of the main reasons for the beta is to build a community that is available when the game goes live.  A perception of massive cheating is one of the quickest ways to hurt the building of said community.  Anything to discourage that, especially a simple code change, should be high priority.

Not so much a worry about "score" Indian, hell look at mine and you will see mine stinks due the fact that I actually test, but its a feeling of being robbed of a hard earned victory.

Worked hard against a Pony about 10 mins ago, who had significant E, and had pinged me for damage, but I turned the tables on him got in firing position on the deck on his six... and *poof*, obvious use of the alt f4 dweeb move.

I spend alot of time actually testing the game, but sometimes I play for fun to take the edge off, and to make the testing all worth while.

And this totally ruins it for me.

I think it makes a difference.  If the honest  and constructive players get frustrated and leave, then you are left with the others.  The game may get a bad reputation.  I think most people would be fine if the host recorded a disco as a crash.  Do they have manuever kills yet?  I don't mind it as much, but it's also frustrating to have a guy crash on you when you fight him down on the deck, although it's neither's fault in a low fight.  I've crashed a few times in a fight and I wouldn't mind the adversary getting a kill.

Im not saying to not want this fixed. Im saying hang in these guys will quit once we pay fr game. By that time HT will have a decent scoreing system inplace. I never looked but Im curios to see if anyone checkedscore before logging and kept count of all kills and alt f4 dweebs and then checked score again.

Anyone ever do this.

Lets not use this as a means to quit its only a game and you got the best of the guy. Could be just a non recorded score.

Gotta dislike cheaters.  They gloat when they win and can't take losing.  But the thing is no matter how frustraing it gets, I know and they know that down deep in their heart they feel inferior no matter what the outcome.  This tends to balance things out for me.  I agree with Indian: it will be fixed, but if iss not the next thing to get attention I wont mind.  For now I'd rather see new planes and stuff.

People, I'm sure this will be dealt with in the same manner it was dealt with in WB under Pyro and Hitech.  Basically, they'll flag any injured object that discos as a kill to the prime damager.  Just a matter of getting the basics, like FM, in trim first.  Still a lot to do yet.

Koala;

Consider that floating from angels 20 in a chute takes awhile.  Quicker to ALT-F4, and resume the Beta Testing.  There might actualy be viable reasons.

A kill is a kill...
