I was thinking...yes, I do think!
I understand the reasoning behind having hitorically accurate skins for the main arenas etc, but would it be possible to have a special event (with some warning) that allows the use of wild "one off" type skins?
For example: If there was a special one model only special event, with the modelled skins from each participating squad being the same, like bright orange P51s, psychodelique p38s or whatever. Possibly even have one off, rare AC models not currently used in AH. We could have a forum on the choice, then go from there.
May be a good way to vent some of the obvious high calibre artistic flair of our AH members.
I realise that this would require the support and approval of HT and the team, but I reckon it would be a good idea for a let off of steam for some of us.
