One of my hunches is:
The closer it gets to the Con without a screenshot release, the more likely the new bomber really is a B-29.
It would be huge, controversial, cause all sorts of whining and gnashing of teeth, but many will praise it as well. As opposed to an He111 or a Soviet bomber, whose opponents even recognize the necessity of at some point. I mean, there are people who believe the B-29 has no place in AH, ever. Just like there were people who thought the Ki.84 should not be here. Hard to believe, but true. Personally, I'd be happiest with the B-24, but really anything at this point is gravy after such a long, long drought of new planes.
Really what we need is visuals for town damage. I'm really bored with the disappearing town buildings trick. We need explosions, dust, smoke, fire and debris in these towns. It'll be a boon to GVs as well, fighting street to street among the burned out city blocks.
