It looks much better than before.  Rivets are a b***h, but they make it look a million times better than without.  You may want to bring up the opacity of the panel lines as well.  (It may look fine from inside the cockpit, I have had that problem.  But, they seem a little too light in the picture you provided.  I would recommend bringing the opacity of them to somewhere around 30-35.)

I believe the origonal skin is small so make sure the size is 1024 x 1024  :) looks good :aok   good pick though, did the plane have nose art on it?? and when u take the ingame pics make your textures 1024 or what ever the highest one is so it looks nice :)

United thanks, fortunately i can still play with the opacity.

Thebest. Thanks for the tip. No it doesn't have any nose art. As I mentioned previously im a beginer at this so im sticking to one of the less adorned models.

nb. I forgot to save my updated wing file. so back to the drawing board.uuurgh.

Octavious and Fester have a P-40E template out on http://www.ah-skins.com  I know Festers is there, not so sure about Oct's though.  They are great templates and have panel lines and rivets on them.

You may want to give them a look to see how it compares.

If im not mistaken, the exhaust gets its color from another part of the plane.  I havent worked in P-40s for a while, so dont quote me on this.  I believe the color is taken from the leading edge of the wing.

Youd have to ask the guys who work with P-40s a lot like Cobra or Fester to get an accurate answer though.

The Exhaust color is taken from your main fuselage/lower wing .bmp file.  The color itself should come from the upper left hand corner area and it runs from left to right, right next to the flap color area.

OK. heres' the latest pic. But I do need help.

First you notice the red writting above exhaust. Looks great before I reduce it to 256 @8ppm. Now it looks like crap. Any suggestions? Thanks

Also I cant get the rear underside between the air intake and tailwheel to be painted. Please any suggestions!! i've looked everywhere

Plus any other obvious errors. Are the panel lines ok?

Its getting tiring. :)

Thanks guys

No big deal TB.  FTJR I'd have to see exactly what it is your trying to do to help you out on the lettering.  You are keeping your file 1024x1024 correct?
