anyone else discoing a lot recently?
« on: September 04, 2004, 11:56:53 PM »
ever since the last patch.. and I have no idea if it has anything to do with it... but I keep CTD'ing about once every 30 mins or so...   I almost never discoed or CTD'ed before but am doing it way too often now.  A squadie of mine seems to be doing the same thing.

Anyone else?

I'm getting disco's all the time.    No CTD but disco's like never before.

I use Adelphia Powerlink cable here in Northeast Ohio for my ISP.

Discos and CTDs are getting to be a regular thing again. Don`t know what has happened in the last couple of weeks or so.

How many of the people getting booted are using SP2 update?

Definitely could be related...

Perhaps not. Using 98SE and had more discos last month than total for last two years.

Just got discoed. Host connection lost message ... THEN switch to TCP. Had pingplotter running in the background, no packet loss or anything. So I got discoed even before switching to TCP and without actually loosing contact with the server. Had this problem in AH1 sometimes too, it's definitively the game.

Same thing for me Hammy, only thing it is hit or miss.  Sometimes I can log on and play nonstop for 5-6 hours other times I long on and get booted after about 2 or three minutes.  When that happens, I try and log back on and its the same thing over and over again.  Play for a few minutes, get messasge "host connection lost switching to.....then connection lost.  It happens randomly when I play so I dont  know what to think.

Same thing here. Disco after disco. It stopped when I turned my firewall and anti-virus off. Happy to report hamster wheel is working fine again.
