took me 2 hours to get the saw tooth acceptable :-)
So what do you luftwobble pilots think?

Aye.  Beautiful, but weathering would make it 1000000 times better.

That sawtooth is impeccable.  You have the patience of a saint!

I did  some weathering. I chipped some paint around canopy and MG access panels. I made egine exhaust stains and I faded the cammo paint ( escpecially on the upper wings.)

However, since we are only working with 256 colors, I find the more weathering is done, the more colors are used and the more the skin gets degraded when converted from RGB to 256 color.

Also, who is really going to noice the weathering? not the guys you are flying with for sure; you'd be lucky if anyone gets close enough to see the colors of your tail bands or basic cammo.

Finally, I don't know many guys who with textures set  above 256.

Still, I may go back and chip some more paint around the wing root..

I fly using 1024 textures and on some skins it's highly noticeable when things are left out.
