How are you guys doing?

Most of you probably can't post as I see 4,000,000 people are without power!!!

Hope you are all okay.

Post when you can and let us know how you are doing.

And here comes Ivan :(

Quote
In the central Atlantic Ocean, the ninth named storm of the season grew stronger Saturday. Tropical Storm Ivan was about 1,355 miles east-southeast of the Lesser Antilles with winds of 70 mph. Forecasters expect Ivan to become a hurricane with winds of at least 74 mph on Sunday and to continue to strengthen.

My Mom, who lives in Pompano Beach, said that her and her boyfriend are staying in Virginia for a few days before returning home. They took their RV up to Nova Scotia in June and were to return home this week...Frances said otherwise.

Right now is the worst of the storm I have seen so far, stuff is starting to break on the trees now, still havent lost power...yet!
The neighbor ran out a few minutes ago with branch lopers and is trimming his bamboo and dumping it in the lake, I was laughing so hard my sides hurt... I think he is building a raft, but hard to tell what he is thinking...  Wheres Geraldo when you need him!

Just talked to My family down there....Tropical storm force winds cover the entire state (minus panhandle) Jacksonville(mom's house) Lost power a few hours ago still severe thunderstorms/winds, Orlando (Lil Brother)  no power since last night still have heavy winds and moderate damage, Ocala (Ex-wife and daughter) no power since this morning heavy winds and storms, Sarasota (In-laws) closest in my family to the storm center still has power...heavy winds and storms....The state seems to be holding up pretty good considering the lenghth of time the storm is there due to it's slow speed...

Now Ivan just east of the windward Islands is coming...track still too far out..went from 80mph at 9am this morning to 125mph at 5pm and moving WNW at 21mph...National weather service is quoted as saying this is the fastest forming fastest moving Hurricane to form at such a low lattitude since the beginning of when they recorded hurricanes...This will be the one to watch!

Not sure if returning home and taking down the shutters will be a good idea as look what else has a NW heading.

South Georgia here, Valdosta/Moody AFB area we lost power at 4pm and it just came back on at 11:40PM.  The real pisser was that 3/4 of the apartment complex never lost power, just my building and 2 others.
