Yeah, its still street leagal. I'm sorry I have no pics of exterior but I've posted a few before of it so i dont want to post the same ones. Its an 89 mustang GT. I'll take some when the outside looks like the inside. Its been in the garage all summer so its anything but clean.

Still much work to do on it but its close to being track worthy now. A buddy of mine just got a new tig welder so i did some practicing and got ok at it so i decided to do make a boxed upper intake. Which is really why i took this pic.

Still have to run some intake pipes from the turbos and do a few more odds and ends here and there but all in all alot has been done this summer. Once all the piping is done for the intake and im happy with my exhaust im sending it all out for ceramic coating.

The car should run deap 10s.

yee haw... I really do think turbos are the wave of the future... I don't like em for various reasons but that is a very clean installation...

And to think my excuse for not being on AH lately is nothing but a lousy room addition.

I wanted to do something different. Around here there aren't many turbo cars worthy of mention. And the few that do have them are very well known among the racing scene. Im talking about real cars here. 900+ rwhp. Tubos are honestly the easiest way to get loads of HP while remaining the most efficient. As far as forced induciton.

I had wanted to do a stroked 460. But it would be in no way a streetable car after that. Forget going on sunday drives. So i started with a 351 windsor block. Bored and stroked to 408ci all forged rotating assy. After that I was done and more than happy. So i thought... Then I was able to pick up a set of T72 tubos for next to nothing. And they were like new. So i did some reading, lots and lots of reading. Talked to many with turbo cars like the one I wanted to do and my summer project had begun. All i had were the two turbos. Everythingn else I built myself. Lots and lots of welding and fitting and some trial and error.

The car only made one pull on the dyno so far. During the pull it was leaning out, not bad but enough to make me nervous so i took it home and redid my fuel system with Aeromotives set up. Gobs of fuel now. And with DFI i can tune this motor from my laptop in the car. Which took several months to save up for to buy the DFI. But well worth the cost. No hp numbers yet. I'll update you on that once the thing is tuned and ready for the track and street ofcourse. ;)

I had always sworn my the juice. It was the easiest way to get unbleivable power gains. Now that i am finished here (almost) I'm askign myself why I didnt do this sooner. Ofcourse there's always the easy and most obvious answer, money. But it was much more simpler than I had ever thought. Pretty basic installation.

But as Kappa always tells me... Its only dirty paper kid. :)

PS: TW after slaving over this heap for months on end. I've earned the right to show off my progress :p heh.

Nice choice the 351W. Its always been way under-rated for performance potential. I can remember way back in the day when I was into street rods (we're talking the 70s, dinosaur stuff) all the supposedly "hip" Ford guys touted the 351 Cleveland but I never liked it as much as the Windsor motor.

Those blowers are enormous.

How well will that engine handle the boost and how much are you pushing?

What internal mods did you make?  Pistons, compression, etc?
