One question if the joystick is 3 axis does that mean it cant go left to right. It looks weird but I hope I am not making a mistake with this one.

Usually 3 axes means yaw, roll, and pitch (Left and right, up and down, twisty stick for rudder)  or at least I think thats what it means.

For the CH Fighterstick the 3rd axis is a throttle axis that is located on the base and to the left of the stick.  Granted you can set this up for anything but it will initially be looked at by games as the throttle.

You will also have a lower roller that will adjust your roll axis and another on the right that will adjust your pitch axis.  Basically allows for fine tuning.  I'm sure you won't be disappointed.  One thing to note is if you used spring loaded devices such as the X45 it may drive you nuts at first.  How the stick is setup you can move only in the roll and in the pitch if you'd like to.  When you start going anything but lef/right and up/down it may feel weird.  Over time though you won't even notice it.  At first it will be highly noticeable though.

Well, if you have the cash,

Hold off on that throttle... CH has a new multi engine throttle coming out soon, you might want that instead..

I run a full CH rig, I'm kinda like a poster child... And I am waiting on this new multi throttle.

I'm F16 Fighterstick 568
Pro USB Pedals,

I also have a CH Flightsim Yoke that I don't use with AH.

I used to have an old game-port pro-throttle and loved it... If you can't get the multi engine, then the Pro is an excellent device.

Welcome to the CH fold my brotha.
